At a comic con once, someone asked the voice actors of abridged Alucard and Anderson if they ever found out if Lucky Charms spill out when you kill a leprechaun. They answered in character that they had met up to go hunt one off camera to check and see if that was true. Turns out that leprechauns don't spill out Lucky Charms: they spill out Boo Berry.

@@dayashathirsts I tried that with a few channels. Gave up on it because the main board on those was just chatting over random stuff totally unrelated to things the channel owners react to. Not even about their merch. And often VERY childish and rude. Not saying it's the same on your Disqus, but...a pity too, because on Disqus people gather to either give comfort to or even financially support a channel member - Birthday or family member that died or stay in hospital. ... Anyway i'll try yours out, but no guarantee if i stay if it's the same all over again -_-

Martyaxvar we talk about random stuff. It’s not usually about the channel. When we stream people join the voice chat. We just like to take our minds off the world. Julie and I are easily accessible there as well. There is an area for reaction stuff. But the main channel is just everyone chatting.

So for those who don't know, the One Piece clip at the start is because when TFS advertised the premier of their new series at Youmacon 2010 (link to the great ad they did at the time below), they included a pixelated One Piece logo as a hint to what they would be showing. It's not shown clearly in Abridged, but Anderson uses pages of text to disappear. Not just any pages but the exorcist kind. These were especially common in Ancient Asia & thrown around an evil spirit which has an inner force that repels that being or injures it. Often occurring in demon-themed anime. Anderson in episode 1 used it together with his blades to make sure Alucard couldn't escape. Using it as a way of disappearing is as far as i know Hellsing-exclusive.

As great as Dragonball Z Abridged is, I feel like Hellsing Ultimate Abridged is a better show overall. The first episode is somewhere in the good to great range, but starting from the second episode, it's quality skyrockets to match DBZA at it's peak and stays there throughout the whole 10 episode series. Also, fun fact, the guy who plays Alucard (Takahata 101/Curtis Arnott) also does the voices of Nappa, Super Kami Guru, and later all three forms of Cell on Dragonball Z Abridged.

I think most of the big abridged series have points that are better than the others. DBZA has the most thought and love put into it and could be said it's the superficially "best" of them, SAO abridged somehow takes itself fully serious which brings out the most genuine personalities and story, Hellsing Ultimate abridged is the most adult and quite philosophical at times, YGO abridged is hands down the funniest with the most flawed source material and I guess Code Ment is the most extreme... Takahata101 is a super creative guy, I think he brought most of the humer at TFSs table, but LittleKuriboh still is on another level by voicing almost all characters himself on a level where even Seth McFarlene would say "whoa...easy there". It's awesome to see them both collab with smaller abridged series too

Just some context about that One Piece opening: they premiered this at a convention, and the opening segment was meant as a joke to pretend that they were doing a One Piece Abridged at first.

8:15 you missed the joke by Alucard after he meets Anderson where he points out he's from the Catholic Church he says: " And what's this? No little Timmy glued to your crotch" as a nod to how most catholic priests have accused of molestation Also at 10:51 when trying to figure out what to do, Seras says: "I could try seducing him. Wait, no I'm not an 8-year old boy!"

Absolute yes. To Hellsing ultimate abridged. As a side (or just for your own entertainment without a reaction) you should check out the Artspear Entertainment videos "Super-hero-bowl" , "Super-Villain-Bowl", and "Super-Showdown-Bowl" (in that order.) A great three videos for movie fans =D

Some lore about Hellsing Vampires. In order to become a vampire, you must be a virgin who was bitten by a vampire of the opposite sex. That is why the priest threatened to rape Seras. If she were not a virgin she would have been turned into a ghoul. (Zombie thralls obedient to the vampire that created them.) There are two types of vampires, original Cursed and artificial. The rules stay pretty much the same. allergic to silver, and holy items/bullets, No direct sunlight, Can't travel over running water without a coffin with grave soil. Artificial vampires are rarely affected by some of these. Seras is very weak to the curse and Alucard has is own way.

Only thing to be aware of is there is a lot of lore about vampires and the supernatural world they never really explain (cuz it’s abridged) so there are some things that are confusing. Still funny as hell. Quick example: Hellsing is not just a person it’s an organization (run by Integra Hellsing) that works with the British government to deal with supernatural threats. Anderson works for the Catholic Church, and they and Hellsing have a kind of leave each other alone agreement, even though they hate each other. That is why Integra tells Anderson you are in grave violation of our agreement. Anderson don’t give a f.

Episode eight is easily the best of this series, but each episode is awesome and hilarious from start to finish. hbi2k is fantastic as Anderson, and Takahata101 is hamtastic in the best possible ways.
