Ben the majority of the people who use laptops do not care about the graphics but the responsiveness of the device when they do what they are doing. There are laptops designed for specific use cases like gaming, art,etc.. but those are the minority of laptop users and the success of the Matebook series is a testimony, thanks for your review as always.

The trackpad features of1 swiping up and down to control volume and brightness was there on my Acer laptop more than 10 years ago. Acer timeline X laptop. It was a software feature from the synaptics company which provides trackpads.

In the UK, there is a sale, and we can get this for £1370 for the i7/1TB/16GB, so as this is a premium ultrabook, that is very good value comparatively against Windows rivals as well as the MB Air M2. I would be tempted, but I still have the 2021 version, which runs fantastically. I would highly recommend it at the current discounted UK price.

Great review but I have to point out that tia laptop should definitely be powerful enough for photographers and for designers. Not 4k vídeo editing but should Handle 1080 p vídeo editing as well. Also dont forget that you cant exactly game o a Mac either.

Since the first 2018 model there have been very few changes to the laptop outside the cpu. The first mbp is still very good

I've been running the 2018 model, but it could be better. Long-term use of the same thing as before is battery is shit beyond words. After 6months, it goes to crap. One of the speakers has given up, and I'm now all Mono. Soldered in memory is a bastard, and I would buy for 2 years in a later use case, so I will go for 32GB of memory in my next purchase. The M.2 SSD is the only thing that can change out, and it's a good thing because my model has changed twice since new, and I found the reason is the position of the screw to attach the SSD is a bit poorly designed and was not seated 100% into the M.2 slot. Getting to the SSD is also annoying; the heatshield could be better. As is the air-flow fan, which is almost useless. My son dropped my unit off the bed on the floor and cracked the screen in the bottom left and right corners. It is still usable if I turn off the touch device part. However, all the lousy being said, they are excellent laptops, and if I could run all the software I use on a Mac, I'd get one and buy one, but sadly I can't. The screen ratio is just brilliant; 16:9 laptops look crappy next to this. It's light and excellent to carry about. The Price is reasonable, but I'm lucky because I currently reside in China, where it's just 999 RMB for 16 GB 1TB (you go check the Price in your currency). I don't use Huawei phones, and their ecosystem does not exist. That's just marking BS talk.

Webcam footage was really horrible which, in my book, is unacceptable, especially for a machine that is so expensive! Are the Huawei boys and girls serious? This trend among windows laptops has to stop!

You definitely can do video editing and photo editing on Windows machines... Ben always playing down Windows and Android products... You should just review Apple products, honestly. I'm a 30+ year Professional Graphic Designer, I can guarantee talent and expertise is the only thing that matters, not platforms... To say anything else is just uninformed.
