You should remove broken lcd to heat gun the battery from the lcd side To avoid damaging the battery while removing it

It's not in the video but prior to removing the battery, the phone was reheated from the display side on the heating machine which has a constant and controlled temperature. Your comment is completely correct, and one should always pay attention not to overheat or puncture the battery.

Yes, why not, replacing the lcd doesn't affect the performance,

If you replace the lcd will it delete all the files in the phone?

I should not delete anything. But make sure to backup via computer anyway..

last 3 month my volume button not working ,the Technician did not repair properly, yet he didn't glue ! At home the edge keep opening, so I try fix ,and pry , suddenly the screen break ! 😱 Ending up in other repair shop costing RM180! 😫 New I bought is (RM 1500) ( Malaysia dollar ) Moral of the story= Beware who you send your phone for repair !!
