Actually the P40 PRO is currently running on a pre released software. So the night mode will get definitely improved with software update.

Excellent device for anyone who wants superb camera, fast processor and excelent charging + battery. Been using mine for some time now and even without google i got everything needed to get it work.

I like the idea of increasing the gain on the microphones when you zoom in. I stick a couple of small pieces of velvet type material over the microphone holes when I'm videoing outside as it helps massively to reduce air rushing into the mics, you do lose a small amount of gain but its well worth it

Can someone tell me one thing? Why hasn't the Samsung galaxy s20 series gone through the dxomark and the p40 pro has done in 3-4 days from release? If Samsung is waiting for software update why shouldn't Huawei also do that?

Ultra wide Camera 40mp Sensor. Why do i only get 10mp images out of it? Any reason for it?the p30pro 20mp stills look better and are sharper than these of the p40pro! Any update coming?

Macro with the ultra wide...how macro? I can get mega close with the P30 Pro, can it get as close as that can? Big fan of macro photography, pretty pissed with Huawei that they took away the dedicated macro mode.

Ultra wide that has autofocus can be used as macro. However, most ultra wide cameras, like on Samsung do not have autofocus.

I think this is by far the best camera phone huawei ever invented. My friend is a photographer and travel a lot..he replaced his dslr camera for this p40 pro and make it so convenient for him to store all those works he captured in the phone itself. It's like, you now have a phone in your camera.. Sometimes all this advance tech creeps me up a bit though..hahah..

I'm using a p20 pro and wanted to upgrade but lack of google puts me off. Trade war is hurting the customers, I don't see an alternative at the moment, decided to wait another year. That's recession for you in behavioral economic terms, Android s future looks bleak to me without Huawei on board
