Better outside with more background noise around. 1:20 GREAT outdoor footage from the Huawei. The HDR and depth of field produces a really nice video. I prefer it to the RX100 in most cases. 2:50 Focus hunt on whatever Jack's DSLR is. 4:00 Sun glare on RX100, not on Huawei. While the RX100 is technically sharper, the Huawei is a more usable clip out of the box. Probably better for home videos and social media fiends. 6:00 Would've been interesting to see the quality if you hit the next optical zoom level on the Huawei. Inbetween, it's just interpolation. Your video is exactly what I was looking for to gauge sound quality and video quality across a range of ongoing use, but you did miss on this one point. 6:10 Clear victory for Huawei at night. While the RX100 seems to maintain more detail, it's going to require a lot of cleaning up to be usable. The Huawei isn't pretty with that low-light jutter, but it's definitely the more usable footage right off the reel. Overall, pretty impressive! If not for those focus hunts I'd be buying one right now. Instead I'm off to search out more footage to get a feel for how big of a deal it really is. Looking forward to your next video, though.

thanks for this test which is the only video which gets into the specifics of huawei phone. I wish you could do another one to show the montage features of the phone cause i wonder whether it is user friendly

@ 6:14 , is the P40 Pro+ recording in its ultrawide camera?, because the P40 Pro+ records much better with its ultrawide camera, its main camera in low light is shyte. No wonder their the camera defaults to ultrawide camera in video mode.

I am currently having p40 now, love the video so much because the natural bokeh from big sensor is quite impressive, planning buy a new compact camera to improve my youtube video, but i guess I should bought an apsc camera instead, the footage coming out from rx100v is not really different from my p40

love so much my p40 pro plus.. so impress with nigh photography,focus capabilities, its similar or better than my fujifilm ax7.. apps gallery and petal search is very intelligent to find everything apps that i need.. top up gaming or anything that need to purchase is no problem with online shooping.. gaming and battery is the best. the downside is mono speaker but its solve with Bluetooth earbuds with low latency. no google, no problem...

Even if it seems like at first glance that p40 is buttery smooth, it looks so laggy on closer inspection. It feels like it skips frames, like cpu throttling on pc gaming :D . The stabilisation looks good though. Did the p40 get updates? This footage looks much better than the p40vssamsung20vsiphone11 video

Sony RX 100 V is the clear winner 🏆 for photos! And imagine RX 100VII which is even better. I have the new Sony ZV-1 which iphone 12 pro can not beat Sony ZV-1. Sony ZV-1 is incredible at nights shots! Cameras of $2000 can not even beat my Sony ZV-1 at night photography without using extra special lenses value of $800++.But i have to admit that smartphones and GO pro 9 or 10 have much better image stabilization than compact cameras. But Sony is still unbeatable at photos and costs $800 instead of smartphones of $1200. On the other hand AI Technology lacks from Sony cameras. Smartphones use AI technology which is a big advantage. I hope the new Sony RX 10 V will be the first compact camera which will use AI.
