"We have already reviewed the Huawei Pura70, Pura70 Pro, and Pro+ models, and now we turn our attention to the flagship Pura70 Ultra.
The Huawei Pura70 Ultra has been launched with advanced camera technology, featuring a retractable lens and a 1-inch sensor. It comes with a high price tag of almost $1,400. Despite the cost, it doesn't seem significantly better than the basic Pura70. The display is similar to the Pro models, with a 6.8-inch OLED LTPO panel, 120 Hz refresh rate, and PWM frequency of 1440 Hz. It uses the Kirin 9010 SoC, which Huawei has not extensively discussed.
The Pura70 Ultra has 16 GB of RAM and storage options of either 512 GB or 1 TB. The battery capacity is 5200 mAh, with charging capabilities of 100-watt wired, 80-watt wireless, and 20-watt reverse charging.
The focus of the Ultra model is on the camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel inch sensor with a variable aperture and retractable lens. Huawei claims the lens mechanism is durable and can withstand 300,000 activations, with a premium feel during operation. The camera can capture sharp images even if the subject is moving at a speed of 300 km/h, though the distance is not specified.
The Ultra model also features a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom. The phone supports satellite communications, working with both Beidou and Tiantong networks. The dimensions of the device are 162.6 x 75.1 x 8.4 mm, with a weight of 226 g. The phone also features an eco-leather finish and water resistance.
