I bought mine last month. I find this more of a fitness watch than a smart watch. I paid USD 190 which is cheap. i passed on my Fitbit ionic to my daughter. I find Huawei watch GT heart bits and steps count more accurate than fitbits ionic and Samsung galaxy watch.I only need to charge twice a month. it's also light weight and thin to wear it all days.I am very happy with battery life and its accuracy.

Had one for about two months, love it. Very sharp display, accurate heart rate monitor, crazy battery life. Compare to my previous moto 360 and Huawei watch 2, I prefer this one a lot more, I don't need to reply message from my watch, or read news from it, light OS is on the right track IMO. Besides, it's SEXY!

Had mine for about a week. Absolutely LOVE it. Put my Gear S3 Frontier into the drawer. I use it primarily for fitness and working out.

i bought one. it's all depends on your expectation. if u need an activity tracker and just for exercise. this is the one to go. i mainly use it for exercise. and it serves my purpose well enough. the price is quite good. this is the one to buy if you're looking for a watch just to monitor gps distance/time/heart rate/tracking performance. u don;t need a full function of a smartwatch which we actually don't really use.

I love my Huawei watch GT. IV been using it since January 2nd and it's simply brilliant. It does everything I need, it does not distract me like other smart watches with useless features and constant charging needs. 2 weeks of battery is possible and constant. It's the perfect companion to my phone. The only thing I wish is Huawei to slightly fix the notifications on the watch.

I've just bought one, £99 which is a bloody bargain, don't need it for music but do use fitness apps ,running, treadmill and exercise bike. Plus I have a Huawei phone

I like it. I personally dont need a watch to be that smart.... Just smart enough is perfect for me. This watch desperately needs open source watch faces though... Or at least more that you can download. The OEM ones just dont do that gorgeous display justice. Imho

Using the 'show time' button shows the screen for 5 minutes each time it faces up. So literally is like always on option.

What someone needs to do is design a full featured watch, with a great oled display where the battery life significantly improves when features are deactivated. I get the feeling, at least with my WearOS watches (and I suspect others too) that even though a particular function/feature is deactivated, still the CPU is running some part of it in the background. They also need to allow the user to completely delete and un-install apps they dont use.

I am not about to spend good money on any product that puts out bare bones features... I can't stress enough just how much I LOVE my Samsung Galaxy Gear s3...!

Great review, the only thing you missed was the watch face limitations - more on which below. Bottom line - why buy a watch that does everything your phone does (I have the Mate 20 Pro), because that's your phone's job! I've had this a few weeks now and I love it. I could never have bought a watch I had to charge every day - it would drive me crazy. The sleep monitor is the stand out feature for me. Just a shame they haven't designed better faces. Most of them are just too busy or just bonkers. My default choice has been the Explorer (the digital time annoyingly off set below centre) although I'd probably use Elegant if it didn't have roman numerals. Truth be told, none of them are perfect.

After having many android smart watches and now using a series 4 Apple Watch I could never go back to any android smart watch. I can see from the video that the scrolling through the OS is janky as was my experience with previous android smart watches. . Series 4 is buttery smooth.

That screen lags way too much to be scrolled comfortably. Smooth and responsive is the key with touch screens

Good approach to Activity Tracker......in my opinion Activity Tracker shouldn't be always looking bad but i guess the software needs more integration with other health tracking services but still worth it when you consider 2 weeks of battery life.

I would look at this from the opposite perspective. It's definitely a smarter watch than a quartz ticker, and it's smarter than one of those "buzzers" that you stick on the bottom of a watch you already have. I would say that this is a good option for those who want to upgrade their watch game (in the tech direction, not in style or movement) and get functionality that is common on other smart watches, and not have to wear a brick on the wrist™.

Has anyone who owns this watch ever managed to achieve the 30 day battery life promised? Have had this for over a month now and with the Australian version of the app there is no option to turn off the GPS which is required to achieve this promise. As a result getting no more than 2 weeks of battery.

I think it looks great, though it's probably still a bit big for my thin wrist. It has all the features I need so I would consider one.

I hope they incorporate the always on feature very soon. I was looking for ways to enable it but the video has helped me know its not available.

I think 'best looking fitness tracker that you get for this money' describes it very well. I'm surprised how accurate the heart beat monitor is. The runtime of the watch is amazing. I just would wish to have a 1:1 sync with my mobile phone notifications (bidirectional). Android support for the notifications is not very straight forward.

Google Fit is sadly a must have, it has more integrations and workout options

I just got it yesterday, it's amazing I really don't like those watches that need to be charged every night or two, this thing is very light weight, measures all the things I need measuring (accurately i believe).. And i really can't complain, it's basically a great watch with some smart features, not a full on smart watch And that's exactly what I already love about it

the gear s3 is currently still available from samsung for the same price at 200 bucks. seems like a misstep to me despite its good looks. you'd have to shell out to reach the galaxy watch but in my opinion this doesn't touch even the gear s3

I just bought an AW S4 which I received yesterday. I bought it because my mobile provider had an offer where it’s only going to cost me £20 a month for 6 months and £25 thereafter for 30 months. That includes device purchase and unlimited data and calls. HOWEVER, up until yesterday, I was using a HuaWei Band 3 Pro which cost me £60 on Amazon at Christmas (on special). Last night, I walked for over an hour with my wife, marching around up and down quite steep hills. My Brand New Stainless Steel Cellular Apple Watch Series 4 told me I had burned 11 calories, walked for 0.14km and had an average heartbeat of 75bpm......I spent most of the way round telling my wife how sh*te the AW is and how much better the Band 3 was. This morning, after sleeping with my AW4 on, it was at 36%. That was at 0600hrs 11.5hrs after it’s very first charge to 100%. The band 3 rarely left my wrist and easily completed 144hrs (6 days) without a charge. I checked emails, messages etc, which let’s face it is all you really need beyond fitness tracking. I also walked at least 90mins per day and had intense workouts twice a week for 60mins. I’m afraid, I believe the AW is like everything in the US, looks good, presented well, but doesn’t do the job properly (read F35/ M1 Abrams/Patriot Missiles). I’m stuck with the AW now for 3 years, I’m sure it will get better, but at the same time the battery will degrade. If Apple also turned off their spying (always on microphone) the battery might last longer.

Until this watch gets down to around $100.00 I will stick with my Gear S3. Almost 4 days battery life with everything but AOD on.

So far, the Amazfit Stratos 2 was my Vaforit. For about 3 weeks now I wear the Watch GT and for me is currently the best smartwatch to buy on the market. I also tested TicWatch Pro 2 and Amazfit Verge. TicWatch Pro 2 is nice but heavy and the battery life is a joke. Is praised with 7 days, but holds only just under 3 days. The Huawei Watch GT, however, with the same claims 7 days. Also Amatfit Stratos 2 could not keep up here, but with 5 days better than the TicWatch Pro2. Huawei Watch GT for me currently the best smartwatch.
