This Dirt series has such Anthony Bourdain 'Parts Unknown' vibes in the best way possible. Sure the episodes end with fantastic meals concocted from the incredible local ingredients gathered from the travels but the show is clearly about the most important ingredient of all...the people. I continuously find myself tearing up from smiling just listening to their stories. You guys truly capture the small moments that provide the magic to give it life. Something Tony did all too well too. Keep it up, Josh & Huckberry crew. I could watch these episodes all day.

I have never seen such a beautiful and pure take on ireland . You cut right to the bone. You experienced something special not even the irish ourselves experience in our physical but you have captured our spirit which is as slippery as an eal. Go raimh agat .

Ireland outside Dublin is like one island-sized village. Its utterly magical to visit. You will leave a part of yourself in West Cork. 🇸🇪

I agree with all the comments here from other Irish people. You really captured Ireland or the Irish experience (or at least the rural Irish experience). If I could add one thing ....and this is not a criticism but just important to mention. Ireland has seen a lot of immigration over the last 30 years. They have been a big part of the food revolution here too. You see it more in the Cities in Dublin and Cork but the principles still apply. It local and high qaulity produce but has influences from Africa, Asia, South America. One of my favourite places to eat in Cork City is a little cafe called Izz. It's run by a Palestinian couple who came to Ireland as refugees. If you are ever in Ireland again this would be an interesting take on the Irish food scene.

This is such a great portrayal of the Ireland I know. The Irish tourism board should hire you!

This really blew me away, I'm Irish and was ready to nitpick any fault in this video. You showed Ireland in a way that made me super proud of living here and to appreciate what's around me. Your personality and outlook really shine through without clouding what the producers and suppliers have to say. There isn't the ego that comes with some presenters. You're passion shines and I really think you are an exceptional presenter. I would watch 50 seasons of this.

This was by far one of the best documentaries about Ireland that I’ve seen. This is the Ireland that exists for me and the one that everyone needs to know still exists!

I got the chance to travel to Ireland in 2019 and it remains one of my most favorite places I've been. You guys were able to not only capture the beauty and culture of Ireland, but also the unspeakable feeling you get by just being there. Thanks for taking me back :)

Normally I can’t stand Americans who narrate channels about foreign culture. BUT!!!! This one is top class, informative, really quirky & very well scripted with a really enjoyable sense of humour. This may be the most tasteful and authentic depiction of Ireland from any outside source that I've ever seen. Of course it's not the day to day life of most of the people here, but this video captures the spirit of our little nation perfectly in my opinion.

To shoot food in natural light like it's landscape and to shoot landscape like it's a portrait of a loved one is MAGIC and I'll hear nothing otherwise. Great see you on Lough Neagh with friends from the Barton too, Gerry is a legend, a great Cheilie house house too 😊. My grands parents on both sides fished eel so did Uncles. There are very few these days from a once massive employer. My local quay Kiltagh once had 200 ee boats 1960s-1980s now 3-4 tope. Thank you for showing time and respect to these unique people. I was in Kerala India in 2004 they fish eyes the exact same way as lough Neagh fishermen. They Were shocked when they seen me "run a line" basically making good and resetting all 200 interconnected hooks. Staff at the hotel came from a fishing village and invited me to meet eel fishermen. Same system thousand of years old, mastered by humans. Still in practise...

I needed this. As an Irish man who's lived here all my life, I forget what I have on my doorstep. Caught up in the rat race, it's easy to do so. I live 15min from newgrange, never been, I'll remedy that on my next wkd off. Time to stop and enjoy the beauty.

Beautifully shot and showcased our best asset - our people! Ireland is so much more than the stereotype of the drunk fighting gobshite. We are young(ish), vibrant, respectful of our past whilst looking forward. This is the land i get to call home (even though i left it in my 20s and came back in my 40s. You can take us out of ireland but you will never take iteland out of us. Thanks to everyone involved - and come back again...... any time
