Good morning Sir. I usually watch your videos till the end. There kinda therapeutic. I live in the Raleigh area, so I cant get out to the mountains as much as you do. These videos somewhat fill in the gap. Plus, I learn some bush craft skills.

Alright!! Hudson Bay Knife! Now that’s a Mountain Man knife. True frontier knife. More likely what was used on the plains & in the mountains. Some claim those Hudson Bay knives were what were considered Bowie knives. What a beast. The spalted ash really looks nice. That Balistol is amazing stuff. Great on just about everything. Bet you have a good idea about a sheath for that beauty 👍🏻. Awesome watching Bonzo & Bergelmir having a bit of a tug of war! You sure do have a point about rainbows and unicorns Drew. I sure will give em some lovin' for ya. I'm pretty happy with the blade... It sure is a beast! I've heard Indian women used to love trading for the Hudson Bay knife as it was a champ at making Tepee poles. I've also heard it might have been the original Bowie. I appreciate you brother. awsome restoration job. thank you for shareing that with us. the tappered grind on the handle still is how weight reduction should be done, no need for cut outs that weaken the knife. You got an awsome blade right there!
