@johnsobj where did you move to that you couldn't have a sawmill? Was it like a HOA or a government wouldn't permit it?

The advertised cost is the price you pay for the Hudson mill. They charge a flat shipping rate of $650 anywhere in the United States. you will need to get a box of blades because you will go through them when you hit nails rocks, and other things that are in trees. They can be re-sharpened at woodmizer in Oregon. The advantage of the Warrior that it has a 31 inch throat opening which is good for doing slabs. Many other companies advertise 36 inch mills, but the guides do not open nearly that far. One thing that many people underestimate is a plan to get the logs onto the mill. I have a special trailer, other people that have large tractors are able to move big logs, but you’re not gonna move a 31” log with a small tractor.

It moves a little bit, it does not affect the cut quality. I do feel like this is a solid saw.

Mostly sell them on FB marketplace or Craigslist. I also trade slabs for steel

It's a 23hp Briggs Vangard

The new motor is a Briggs. The original one the saw was designed with is the one I have. I don’t know where mine is from.

It never gets “ripped off.” If it catches on the bark and becomes unplugged, you just plug it back in.

Adjust your bottom stopper bolts to 1.5 inches in length. Then your blade should measure 1 inch above your horizontal crossmember supports. You might have to play with the stopper bolts a little bit to get that 1 inch reading.

All of the slabs in this video were 3 inch. I now cut large table length pieces that I plan to join together at 2.5 inches so I can joint them with my track saw. I still cut coffee table pieces at 3" because I think that looks the best.

They like it better than the 660 chainsaw mill!! In all seriousness, the engine is only slightly louder than a lawn mover. I only mill 1 to 2 days a week, approximately 4 hours a session so it is not that bad.
