On February 12th, 2010, Pinhead Gunpowder played a rare/benefit show for a friend at 924 Gilman Street.
The show was sold out and the band sounded awesome.
I did my best to film parts of the performance but wanted to enjoy most of the show without worried about holding up a camera and it was hard since I was in the pit area and everyone was running into each other, including Mike Dirnt.

@TheGuitardude94 Billie's been in PHGP almost as long as he's been in Green Day. Jason joined later, and didn't tour with GD until a few years after that.

@TheGuitardude94 green day is still banned from Gilman... but Billie, Jason and Mike are still allowed to play there with other bands (PHGP, Frustrators). I doubt they could perform as Network of Foxboro Hot Tubs. Green Day sold out... no question about it. They left the underground scene, signed with reprise and the rest is history. But look at them now... touring worldwide, the money must be rolling in :P They were aiming too high to stay in Oakland for the rest of their lives.

@TheGuitardude94 Billie has always been in Pinhead Gunpowder. And if they were a band on a major label, then they wouldn't have been allowed to play Gilman either. Their No Major Label policy makes that pretty clear. It's nothing personal, it's just that Gilman is a place for the underground/DIY punk community - it exists as an alternative to big-business and corporate RAWK clubs As for Green Day not being allowed to play there - I think they're doing pretty okay for themselves without Gilman...

@nmycon that pretty much sums it up. The term sellout never had anything to do with the sound of the band, but their actions regarding the underground punk community. End of story.

Funny how I thought that the guy on the fay right was BJ. Haha. Then, I noticed the guy in the dress and I was speachless. Wow. Also, is it just me, or does eveytime he says "Do you know..." it looks like he's going to sing "Basketcase"? Ah, well. COOL BAND. Love the guy getting kicked in the head by the crowd surfer.

they never sold out. they just fuckin did what they wanted to do. punk is punk it can be famous it can be big but as long as you do what you fuckin want for the true reasons.. highly doubt they were in it to be millionaires

they were kicked out like 18 years ago, 16 at the time of this concert. don't you think each side grew up a little and just let bygones be bygones? they all grew up, and im sure because of green day and phgp gilman has gotten alot of buzz, which does matter when you're trying to run a business.
