So since the 50s, most bone surgeries use metal implants when replacing bone. Cuz instead of waiting for bones to regrow, people can start moving again much faster. You just need a doctor to insert a long metal rod or joint in your bone. But these implants can corrode or even cause bacterial growth.
So, Australian scientists invented a genius solution.
This is a 3D printed bone made with living cells. Since they can be any shape and size, this solution can replace any bone in your body. Even the smallest bones in your inner ear.
