Definitely!! In this crazy world the doll community is a huge comfort to me. I've met so many lovely people through my love of Barbie ❤️ And spending our money on dolls rather than cigarettes or alcohol makes more sense to me. The dolls were such quality back in the 90s. I feel obligated to tell people - look Mattel used to make amazing dolls - with hair you can brush so easily!! I feel Mattel should apologise for the basic dolls they are releasing now. Molded on plastic clothes were never seen until recently! I mean even the collector dolls have gone down in quality with plastic accessorises yet the prices remain high. Love this video especially your heartfelt message ❤️ 💕 ♥️ 💜 💖 and what a sweetheart Andrew is too! Maybe your mailman is jealous of your perfect barbie post?? Lots of love from across the seas 🇬🇧❤️

I agree about barbie. The quality has definitely gone down. The 80's and 90's barbie were the pinnacle of quality. Seems like we'll never again see that type of excellence in barbie.😥

I agree, those of us that love and collect dolls, any kind, from antique to mid century to Barbies, Bratz, Monster High, Disney, Ever After High, Cabbage Patch, American Girl, OMG, Rainbow High... We are lucky to have this beautiful hobby, tiny works of art, imagination and creativity! Your 'From the heart' at the end is appreciated, as I live with people who don't like that I love dolls, especially at my age, but they make me happy and I want to collect more without having them called 'dollies' in a sarcastic way.

Andrew, what an amazing package! 😭 This was so much fun to watch!! Arjen, this made me oh so very happy! So many nostalgic feels I didn't even know I had. The second you got out those paper dolls, a flood of memories overcame me. I didn't even remember having those paper dolls until now. And now I feel like...I need them. Framed. In the Barbie room. I had so much fun with those paper dolls as a child. Wonderful memories. 💖💖💖Made-to-move Totally Hair Barbie is the iconic queen I didn't even know I needed either! How AMAZING. I did find two OG Totally Hair Barbies while thrifting, so maybe a body swap is in order....🤣 ANYWAY, great job as always with your brilliant makeovers! And Andrew, what a generous gift to send over the Atlantic!

I just received in the mail, yesterday, a cute used EBay 1993 Barbie (I’m sure it’s Bicyclin’ Barbie), and I surprise myself with much I looked forward to her! Thank you for saying how it’s ok to feel this happiness over a little doll. 🤗😘

I agree about the barbie quality. Whenever I make a comment on any video on any channel about how the quality of barbie has gone down, I get the same argument back from someone saying how Barbie's are made for kids as a playline toy meant for short term use, and kids don't care about quality......yadda yadda yadda.🙄 But throughout the history of barbie, from 1959 through the late 90's she was high quality, and she was manufactured for kids THEN also. It's not that kids, or adults, don't care, it's Mattel that doesn't care. It seems like after Ruth handler died in the early 2000's, they immediately started to cheapen everything. The 80's and 90's was the pinnacle of barbie! Barbie at her best. It's time Mattel brought that quality back. Barbie is no longer just a toy....she is a cultural icon, and deserves that respect. 💖

Hello, Some time ago I discovered your videos on KZfaq and I'm now gradually watching the older ones. I particularly liked your touching words at the end of this video! I have been collecting Barbies for many years, mainly from the 60s (from my childhood) and I still enjoy them very much. Unfortunately, the range of Barbies in Germany is very sparse and there is no longer a large toy store near me with a large selection.😏 Your videos are therefore very informative and contain good tips for restyling. 👍 Keep it up! You are so right when you speak about doll passion. Covid, world events and personal disappointments are sooo much better with dolls. Adults play with dolls very uniquely. You make amazing videos and makeovers (confession: I watch them more than once), I write stories featuring my dolls and sew clothes for them. Some get creative with diarama and photography. I loved this video and agree that quality was better in the old days (for me it was 60-70’s mod era barbies). The exquisite detail on the clothes was beyond anything today. But probably made under sweat shop conditions so I am content with today’s standards. I am so glad for my fellow Canadian Andrew who gave you such a loving gift. You are such a bright light for us.

Amazing makeovers again well done Arjen! 👏 Two of my favourite Barbies ever Totally Hair and Hollywood hair Barbies, 90's Barbie era was full of magic, no Barbie ever looked the same! I got lucky enough to get the whole Totally Barbie Collection I rerooted all the girls with human hair 🤣 Totally Hair Ken was my first ever Ken doll has a special place in my heart I have 3 of them 🙈

16:36 Beautiful doll. Cool you getting one too. I got mine in a bag of two dolls at Value Village. She was wearing another outfit (a gorgeous pink gown) but the other doll was wearing the former's original white/gold pant piece with straps. So my Hollywood doll is missing her hat/bow, jacket, boots and ring. Her body is still in great condition. I had thought about washing hair but am too afraid but I did go through with my hand and smoothed it out. Yours condition looks to be in far better shape (alot smoother). I have had many a great find thrift shopping. Cheers.

Please don't be afraid to wash and condition doll hair! Practice on a couple cheap thrift store dolls first. It's really easy and so satisfying!!
