The Bot Problem _Is_ Valve's Fault. The first reason is because when they simplified the Match Up system for the sake of Meet Your Match later on, they basically made it so that Entering into TF2 was as simple as tapping a button, rather than pulling up a List of Servers and digging through it to find a good one, the latter of which uses up a lot of processing power when it comes to bot algorithms. The second reason is even more inexcusable: Valve hasn't updated their VAC system for either almost, or _Over_ a Decade, said system being the thing that was _supposed_ to Stop Bots and Hackers from making the games become _unplayable._ The reason it is inexcusable is because VAC isn't exactly using "Spaghetti Code" like how they have claimed TF2 to be, but is in fact, a relatively streamlined System, _seperate_ from TF2, and is supposed to safeguard _All_ of Valve's Networked games! The fact that VAC has been left to become outdated has meant that Bots now have free reign because Valve _WON'T_ Update VAC! Deadlock has already been rumored to have been hit by Aimbots and SpamBots during it's Alpha Trials, which means Deadlocked will end up being an even bigger embarrassment!

honestly, with how long save tf2 has gone on without valve saying anything, at this point I feel that if there's any action it's just going to be valve shutting tf2 down. I mean, think about it, it's almost 18 years old, the death of tf2 is inevitable, and honestly it would be so much less work for valve to just shut tf2 down rather than spending time playing wackamole with bots and cheaters.. the heavy update is almost 8 years late, I doubt this game has another 8 years left I really hope I'm wrong, I seriously love this game and it's pretty much the only videogame I make time for, but honestly the outcome of fixtf2 is just becoming more and more depressing everyday

From how the bots are acting, they are either being extremely confident or they are getting desperate. Sure this movement is getting a ton of attention, but Valve's silence is concerning. Either they are silent as they are trying to think of something to do or they are silent as in they either don't care or they hope this entire movement blows over like last time. Regardless of what happens, these bot hosters are getting more and more dangerous and if the FBI sends an investigation against them, I wouldn't be suprised.

Well they are good. No cheat bots (sometimes you can see a training bots mixed with real players just because the amount of players is law). But keep in mind that com servers maps are mostly 2Fort and Hightower in eternal stalemate. So you've been warned.

the real problem here is impersonation's. yesterday, i was one a server with one of these bots, and the bots nametag read "Uncle Dane". it was advertising the cheese pizza from what was implied to be the real uncle dane's account. this kinda stuff, if taken seriously, could actually land people in prison even if they are innocent.

This will be an even worse PR nightmare if Valve gets sued by world governments for this level of negligence. Sadly, even in the event that someone works with some legal professionals to compile and present the very illegal things the botters are doing aside from the botting to higher authorities, there isn't anything that can be done because most of the botters are in Russia. Before the war it was absurdly difficult to hold cyber criminals from there to account, at the moment its fairly impossible.

I do have a friend with an inside scoop on the hosters discord servers. The discord links posted by the bots are you are referring to are the same as an invite to Rosnehook's server. While I wouldn't exactly say Rosne and the community are innocent per se, but definitely not the "cheese pizza" bots. I really hate to say it, but in this issue I'm taking the bot hoster/cheater's side. Legits are just putting the blame on all hosters. The hosters are actually trying to figure out who's behind it. Do I support bot hosting? No. But just because they're doing something wroong doesn't mean they can't be right about something.
