This is the BEST garden transformation I have seen. You have both worked hard(painting decking is a killer of a job) and the stencil - Boy have you got staying power for a job. Having a Hubby who can do all the joinery has saved you best part of £1000 for that job maybe more. Hope the weather stays fine and you can enjoy your gorgeous garden.

It's soon lovely seeing a lovely outdoor area in UK. I often see US ones but don't think they're attainable in our climate. You should be sooo proud of yourselves. Great idea on patio tiles, I've never seen it done with a stencil outdoors & I have awful slabs that are too dear to replace. Thanks Carly 🤗😃

Lovely hun that egg chair is fab I love that it doesn’t swing.I stencilled a patio area in my garden and it washed away after first winter so I redone it all and sealed it with concrete sealant and it has lasted two winters so far and still looks great so maybe try sealing it it’s so easy to do using a paint roller and extension pole I got the sealer and extension pole on Amazon 😀

My sister watched this an said she felt for my poor back whilst I used a tiny brush to paint everything 😂 I’m so impatient I just used what I had to do it there an then but your right, would be much easier an more sensible to use a roller on a pole 🙈 I will have a look for the concrete sealer thank you so much. I thought I could do with putting something on it to protect it but wasn’t sure what!

Absolutely beautiful!! Well done you 2!!! I was really hoping that you put a roof on as in this country, we definitely need that. I have a similar sort of thing but only live in a little terrace so it just goes all the way across. I’ve become sick of Kartchering though as mine isn’t decking,, it’s stone and brick but seriously considering having it all tiled in outdoor tiles now. I also made outdoor blinds to stop the wind and rain, blowing in Grrrr, the bloody weather we get eh?? Xx

You should have used Cheap Sweeping Brushes to paint the Decking. Much easier in the back!!😀 Absolutely brilliant, well done all

To use the Sweeping Brush Method, pour paint into an old or cheap Wash Basin and off you go!!

Hi, we are starting to build the deck and pergola this weekend and your video was very helpful. Can you tell me what you’ve used for the pergola roof? Thanks!

Hi Adriana thank you so much! Glad you found it helpful. Peter just used clear corrugated roof sheets and waterproof clear sealant. An he fixed 2x4 treated CLS timber across the pergola roof to attach the sheets to. Hope that helps... I had no part in helping with the roof so I’m probably explaining it terribly 🙈
