I’m allergic to milk. I drink a gallon about every 3-4 days. After years of ignoring it if your allergies aren’t too severe you’re body will adjust, if your symptoms are severe you are screwed because you can’t make your body adjust to it because everytime you do it your body wigs out. Like milk used to just make my stomach hurt like crazy, and I’d throw up blah blah, but after ab 5 years somewhere around my junior year in highschool it stopped bothering me. Nowadays I just get a little cramp for a min or 2 if that.

I'm Trinidadian and the way my house hold does it is: green coconuts get their tops chopped open, and you drink the water straight or bottle it. Then you crack the husk open and eat the jelly with a spoon. Second way with dry coconuts: you break them open along the middle with the back of a heavy knife or something similar, you catch as much water as possible like in this video and you drink that. Where it differs is that we take a tool (an oyster shucker works perfectly) and dig the meat away from the shell, and then we scrape most of the brown grit off the backs of the meat pieces. Then we cut it up into small chunks or grated strips and put it in a blender with like a cup of water, turn it into a pulp and squeeze it through a nutmilk bag or cloth and bottle or freeze the milk for later use in cooking. I put the wrung pulp in like bread or brownies for extra fiber and the baked coconut flavor. Also the cream separates from the water so you can dip out just the cream after 20 minutes or so. Throw coconut milk into your food to make em delicious and creamy. You can do curries, stews or whatever. Keep it spicy or mild. It's delicious no matter what you do with it. You can even use it to make dessert.

It's not the right answer. It's very incorrect. Coconut water comes from immature or green coconuts. Milk comes from brown coconuts. Water is more advisable to drink under survival situations as it has a milder taste and is more thirst quenching. I suggest keeping it to a water source tho as immature coconut meat is gross and very pathetic. TL:DR green coconuts for liquid brown coconuts for food.
