The Dodo the Houston SPCA is euthanizing animals and is not helping with any rescues. Best Friends Animal Society, Austin Pet's Alive, and Houston Pet's Alive are 3 organizations I know of who are actually helping. Houston SPCA isn't even sharing donated supplies to other rescues or to families. And yes it's documented. Check out World Animal Awareness Society KZfaq to see some of what is truly happening. So please DO NOT donate to the Houston SPCA!

Matthew Herrmann that, which I'm just now hearing about from you, ISN'T what I was talking about. I reference a video in my earlier comment. Try looking at that. Secondly the only thing I said about best friends animal society was in connection with donations. The Houston SPCA is NOT doing what they are claiming to the media yet refuse to talk to those who are trying to put out correct info. They aren't helping other rescue organizations, and they aren't helping families with their pets. Check out the channel I referenced, there are several videos about it. Other organizations are doing the work ALL OF IT, Yet Houston SPCA is telling the cameras, the media they are. Watch the videos.

The channel you referenced is basing their information off of the report that was retracted. This location came under scrutiny when it was rumored that pit bulls went in but didn’t come out alive. It was all over social media to take this breed of dog to Montgomery County or they would be killed. It has not been confirmed whether this was a truth. "

This big boy was no different. These rescuers were very sensitive and kind. Much respect to these good people!! 👍

Invisible.....Hello there dear friend. I am doing fantastic. Carolyn is here and I have already spoken to her. She is doing well. Just look around a little and you too will find her. Yes we stayed calm during the storm and we are all ok. A little wet but ok.

Andie Vecchione Someone else left a comment on another video saying they watched this elsewhere & the story was told in full. It seemed the owner(s) - possibly an elderly gentlemen, wasn't in the greatest of health, & had already tried to flag down help but was refused it as they couldn't help his dog out. I'm presuming he wouldn't leave Diesel (which warms my heart), so continued on in his efforts to flag down further help. No human should ever stand in contaminated flood water for long periods of time, the owner likely kept shouting words of comfort to Diesel while trying to get help for the poor boy. I'm so glad both are safe now, & im sure since this was filmed they've both been reunited.

@@LauraBidingCitizen no it was a random man who saw the dog and tried to get him out but couldn't lift him so he called for help and they came didn't ykh hear him say I hope his family comes to get him?!

Peace you have such a caring heart! The weather is supposed to be cooling down. I have breathing issues, and no longer have air-conditioning in my home. Window AC's make breathing difficult, so I just "go with the flow." I use ice gel packs wrapped in tee shirts to cool off, but sleeping is intermittent in the heat...My home was built in '41, and growing up, my parents had bought a couple of window air conditioners, but that was decades ago...thanks for your concern...The Invisible, bless her heart, said she'd get me one! But, as I said, window AC's makes the air cooler, but makes me cough alot!

His family never abandoned him. The family weren't able to get him up the stairs...please watch again, but this time, prime your heart to sympathize with the family, and their fear, their flooded home, their worry over Diesel, and please end the viewing of this video a second time, with thankfulness and compassion in your heart, for Diesel, and his family, who did NOT abandon him, and if you are one who prays, please say a prayer for them and their suffering, that they will be comforted!

Laura Williams 150 shouldn't be difficult to lift for a full grown man, hell even a 18 yr old can lift that. But the dog was injured so it would have needed to be gentel anyway so the more people the better.

What? The family was in there, they called for help. They couldn't lift the dog, he's 150 pounds, not even the people could. They needed to put him in a crate and have around 5 people help. Did you even watch the video?
