It makes sense for them to air it on television as well as releasing it online. It will be the one and only Dragon Ball anime Toriyama has done extensive work to look over.

Akira Toriyama passed away in the year of the dragon, as if the universe itself recognized his work, and a dragon took him to the heavens - just like Goku at the end of GT. God, how I wish dragonballs were real so we could wish him back with a long, healthy, happy life ahead of him.

As a 27 year old, I grew up watching dbz Kai. I remember vegeta going batshit crazy when he realized gohan was hiding the missing dragon ball from him on namek. Rip toriyama and thank you for introducing me the best anime of all time.

Let's not forget Sand Land is coming out in April, yet one more last gift I very much intend to get. We love and miss you Toriyama!

I hope you’re ready to whip out those immediate episode commentary videos. My DBS routine for ages was looking forward to every second of the show and then immediately refreshing KZfaq looking for your video practically as soon as the episode was over where I could stream it.

Honestly I feel that with Toriyama's death and the 40th anniversary and everything it almost feels very fitting for Goku to be a child for the series right now.

This, won't just break Fuji Tv records. For most watched, probably. But, it could break records around the world? I'd hope. This, is his final work. The, most important work. We'll ever see. This, should be a "Real Grand Tour". Of Goku and companies, may be. Final ride. Hopefully, we will get more anime series. After Daima. Hopefully, they can do Toriyama's vision/ work right, and continue his legacy/ story. For many more years to come.

I'm still in shock, but grateful Daima will be Toriyama's final gift. The series has changed me in ways I didn't realize till now, and I'm forever grateful for all his work. I can't wait to see how super ends in the manga, and I can't wait to see how daima goes.

A random thought: we know from your previous video that Toriyama was aware of having health issues. I now wonder if Akio Iyoku knew something like this could possibly happen sooner rather than later and moved to wrestle creative control from Shueisha while Toriyama was still alive (and, I imagine, there to support him).

I wasn't going to watch it, but it's Akira-san's final project. I will binge it all!

I was interested in Daima before he passed but now I feel like I need to watch it. His last work. Also really want to play Sand Land coming out next month his other last work. I still think of how much I appreciate his work over the years at least his art. I've said it before Chrono Trigger was my real introduction into his art style. I did play Dragon Warrior before that but it was like 30 minutes I had no clue what I was doing and went back to Final Fantasy. (I was 10 at the time.) Then Dragon Ball Z happened on Toonami. I remember at least here in the states when Dragon Quest 8 was coming out and they were really making it a selling point to put his name on there. Ultimately I look forward to these. I really don't see Dragon Ball ending, it's too big still. And I think he set a lot of people up to be able to take over and take good care of the franchise. I've always never questioned it but did DB Evolution really make him want to work more Dragon Ball? Is that really true? Again I never questioned it because, hey, we got more DB.

imma be honest, at first i didn't like the idea with them all becoming kids (seemed like a gt revamp to me) and didn't think much of the visuals but then i read that it's gonna involve more martial arts and not so many ki blasts and transformations anymore so now im actually very excited for it, has that nostalgic original dragonball feeling to it now

I still can’t believe how much hate Daima has been getting. Like it has a lot of hate when not even any full episodes have been released. I’m certain part of it is because people really wanted and still want them to make a new season for the Dragon Ball Super anime to adapt the Moro and Granolah arcs. But honestly it’s just ridiculous. Like seriously people could at least wait till full episodes come out and watch them before making an opinion.

I’m actually surprised Daima wasn’t already going to air on TV over there. TV and theaters are still commonly used there over streaming. Which is why some other anime do theater exclusive showings and episode release schedules can be funky since other TV events can sometimes interfere with the episodes airing, especially with holidays.

I don't mind the look of dima cuz at least it's some dragon ball that not a movie or a video game promo anima

What I did was to take time out of my day to spend time with loved ones, had movie night with the feature being Super Hero. The internet is full of jealous, spiteful people, but that shouldn't let that stop anyone from following their dreams even as they try to siphon your hidden potential though harmful machines, along trying to bring back a harmful discourse intended to discourage beginner artists. The Arts is a collaborative effort, and nobody knew that better than Toriyama. May his soul rest in peace...

For the last few years I've been talking about holding an annual holiday for my family akin to easter where we'll hide my set of Dragonballs and give out prizes for the fastest times. I haven't done it yet because i could never decide on a good date for it. I think March 1st will now officially be my Dragon Day.

Glad you're telling people that they should chill on the in fighting, I was critical of Daima (at least from a first impressions point of view) and I know after hearing of Toriyamas death that I promised I'll give it a fair shot (was going to either way but now I'll try hard to see it without any biases) and I imagine a lot of others have as well so the in fighting will only lead people to double down and as you said it also isn't something Toriyama would want.

I was despised Daima when the teaser came out but now my opinion has changed drastically and i will see it in a different way now that the creator has passed away.

Ive said thw same thing! People where trying to argue over his work the day he died and i said to chill and reflect on yall self and thwy where too bust worried about winning an argument, nothing is .ore disgusting then people who disrespects a creators work by arguing it the day they pass

I agree with you about dunking on people who aren't into it. It's okay to not like something even if Toribot did it. My suspicion is Daima is going to be 40 episodes since it's 40th anniversary. So one good solid arc. Just my speculation.
