Some more important points regarding this. - He had to sign up with them because he started his KZfaq channel in Israel, where he was living with Hila. So that is how he could get paid. - After coming back from Israel to America, he could not change that because you can not just change payment accounts like that. - He had hired an accountant to do the financial work for him but they did a shitty job and did not notice all the stolen money. - Since Ethan's video, many other KZfaqrs have come up and said the same thinking happening to them, and they didn't notice it before. - Ethan has taken a mortgage on his office and has 12 full time working employees. - He has stopped the revenue on his channels because the money still goes to them instead of him. I mean, it's understandable that he feels bad about it, but that contract DOES give them the right to take that 30%. If he sues them, he'll lose, that contract is more than enough. Unfortunately, h3h3's argument is too focused on feelings to consider the full legality. the "if you care, why didn't you just leave" might be textbook abuse when it comes to interpersonal relationships, but from a business perspective, that's legitimately the correct course of action. If a contract is not fulfilling enough, there are exit clauses. termination of employment is a clause that most non pyro fans would know about (pyro fans would never have a job pog) and a contract of indefinite length is required to have one. Regardless of how butthurt he feels about the money "taken from him", channel subscriptions are not revenue from the first two categories. it's categorically a seperate system, even if paid through google in the end. He has two options in the future (outside of the lawsuit, which is frivolous): 1. He quits the contract through the exit clause, legally terminating their cooperation and thereby keeping the revenue in the future. 2. He makes an addendum to the contract through a case-by-case agreement to exclude channel memberships from the "other net revenue" clause, or change that contract wording to require prior notice and agreeing before being allowed to take any of the money. Either case, the money they've "skimmed off" was theirs to take at the time they took it, and he won't be entitled to getting that back if they're defended by any lawyer that knows their salt. Tough shit ethan, don't treat businesses like it's a lunch-swap at a school cafeteria where you agree to give someone your candy in return for a gatorade and then cry when the gatorade wasn't as nice as you wanted it to be.. :P
