The platter is Heritage Pfaltzgraff. Older pieces have an imprint of a castle on the bottom. They are ironstone also I am pretty sure. ☺️

Oh my goodness I would have danced up a storm. I was so excited to find the large iron platter and a medium size one. I have also found a casserole bowl with the lid. Gorgeous. I have 7 grandchildren and have collected 7 different sets of dishes for them. Crazy Daisy, Golden Butterfly, Ironstone and several others. One dish at a time

Sarah I believe little plate that you keep calling a tea plate is a saucer by the tea cup. They round circle in the middle of the plate keeps the cup from sliding around. Not being able to see it in person, I am not sure. But I think that’s what that is. It is a saucer for the tea cup or coffee cup.

LOVELY...LOVELY...LOVELY AND LUCKY !! I have a Soup Taurine made in Portugal and love it ! Love that dish set. Maybe little by little you will no more mugs , etc that go with that! Yes, I have a certain style mug I drink my coffee in and I’m like you, I like them thick. Funny...I can’t drink out of an aluminum cup/ glass... and I can’t have a travel mug with a metal top..🤷‍♀️. Some people don’t eat certain food because of consistency, texture, and clothing, etc... I’m that way with my CUPS ! LOL!! I’m so excited for YOU!!! ❤️❤️🇺🇸❤️❤️

Great hall. I loved iron stone had a ton of it but went to Corelle ware because of the weight of iron stone. I am older and its easier to use corelle ware.

The Pfaltzcraff platter is a classic from the 60s when brides stopped picking Bone China sets for wedding gifts. Another very popular brand imported from England was Redcliff Ironstone. My mother and Aunts had full sets with beautiful scalloped, oval, etc serving bowls tureen, gravey boats... probably no less than a 100 pieces each. They were everyday dishes that seldom chipped, and were beautiful enough for parties. You should research ironstone so your eye will be trained to spot them.

I believe the pattern you have purchased is called "Heritage White" by Johnson Brothers. It's approx $12-13.00 per setting, (cup and saucer), depending on mkt value.. Lucky find! It's beautiful!! Enjoy!

The large platter is Pfaltzgraff, contemporary. I collect old ironstone, and it is not always marked.

The large platter is made by Pfaltzgraff. Typically the older Pfaltzgraff pieces have the makers mark incised on the bottom of the piece like on your platter. Not sure the date of your piece or what the pattern name is. The Pfaltzgraff company was started by Johann George Pfaltzgraff in Germany but he came to the US in the early 1800s. Hope that helps! What does Ironstone feel like. I did find something from Johnson Brothers because I remembered its ironstone!

English ironstone really is the only China that looks good crazed. Just aged to perfection. Ironstone in most cases is not marked ironstone, it’s marked with the manufacturer stamps.

Vintage Pfaltzgraff is made in USA. The newer in made in China and not as nice.
