I LOVE Japanese Rice Fish!
They are one of the easiest fish to keep and just all around a great fish!
In this video......
Quick updates of all the mini ponds I have for my Japanese Rice Fish or Medaka!
I setup a huge new pond in Japan and I am so excited for how It turned out!
I also got underwater Footage of my Medaka!
I have been breeding Japanese Rice fish and give a few tips to help you breed Medaka as well!
Let me know what you think of my aquascapes and mini pond setups!

Rice fish are honestly awesome finally got mine to start breeding this season and they have been laying nonstop! Seen my first fry today 😁

Not sure why you believe soil is needed. Fine pebble gravel would be fine. The fish will feed the gravel. Probably less algae.

I hope you didn't use gardening soil in your tub for the fish .There are lots of bad things in gardening soil that can kill fish

All my Medaka Tanks Outside dont have soil of just like 2cm and I just Stared and stared at the Screen while you were putting like 5 different ones inside one tank😂😂

You can use a piece of air line tubing and an air tube connecter for a feeding ring nice ponds ❤

Great set up! I absolutely LOVE Medaka rice fish ❤. It’s winter here in Melbourne Australia so mine are sitting very still at the moment.. I can’t wait till spring when I can transfer them into a larger pond I have ready for them! I cannot get water hyacinth here, but have plenty of plants etc.. Nice video thank you!😊

I have a group of Youkihi medaka. They're supposed to be a solid orange, but about half of them have a koi pattern. I have a very large group of fry growing out. I plan to try separating out the two color forms for future breeding.
