Game 7 of the Oilers-Canucks series was awesome-so glad to see Mcdavid and Co. advance to the Western Conference Final VS Dallas. Wishing Coach Berube the best in Toronto, he will certainly be under the gun from the start with the expectations of that fan base. Excellent report.as always,much appreciated.

Jones doesn't want to play in Canada. Apparently when he was in Nashville a clause in his contract was no trade to any Canadian team. My advice to Leafs, don't trade for a player who doesn't want to be here.

If you use actual logic, then 2 things seem obvious. 1. The Lightning dont sacrifice their chance at signing Stamkos for an older expensive defenseman. 2. The Lightning don't make that type of move without Stamkos blessing. For that price they probably could've kept both Dumba and Duclair.

Great Video, as usual, Mike. I don't think that Craig Berube is going to want to do a replay on the Jordan Binnington thing. I think that Berube gave Jordan the best suggestion that had helped, in telling Jordan to not say anything & stop the puck, but, nobody wants to see Part 2 of that. Let me know what you think

Marner only goes this coming season if he wants to. Multiple times TB asked Stamkos to waive over cap issues and he said no. Marner can do the same thing and just walk away at the end of next season.

No to Seth Jones. 9.5 million is almost as bad as Marner's 10.9 million. Leafs don't even have the cap space for Seth Jones, even with Marner being traded.

If Toronto wants to mix up the team? They have to trade 1 or 2 of there core players. With those 2 player salaries they probably could get 4 people on the roster and trade for a goalie if they want to

Saros got outplayed by a third string goalie this year in Vancouver and his playoff save percentage was just at .900 which isn't great. So I don't know who else would be involved in a deal like that for Marner.

Yeah I listened! These guys want reactions! The blues strength is goaltending. Why would they trade Binnington to Toronto? Hover is up and coming but not established. They are just starting these rumors because Berube won a Stanley Cup with him.

I just cannot comprehend the Seth Jones rumours, why the hell would ANY team want a guy who under performs at such an outrageous contract both money and term??! Not brought up here, but I also can't see the Bruin rumours being realistic, why would Boston trade with a team they continuously squash in the playoffs, potentially improving their goal tending and defence to a level where the Leafs may edge them out? It’s funny how all these high salaried players are always linked to the Leafs! I guess they don’t have a salary cap! Why would you want another high salaried over 30 year old forward when you’ve clearly neede goaltending and defenseman for the last 5 years!

I know they are a division rival, but I could see a team like Los Angeles pursuing heavily on Demko. He’s from California and he would fit really well with the kings. He’s not too old and he would be a good starter for them. The thing is what would they give up. PLD and 50% with a pick or something. Or would you go in entirely something different like a prospect and a pick.

I think the trade to go for Toronto is Marner = Saros+Kemell+Pick And Marner signs Leafs get a Starter,almostNHL ready prospect,and cap to sign UFA/a dman. And Nashville gets a 80-100pt player,still have Askarov. Maybe leafs throw in a Robertson or something minor.

As I've said all along, I think it's The Toronto Maple Leafs will keep The Core Four, at the very least, for now. Everybody is of the belief that one of them isn't going to be there. As I've been saying, Craig Berube hire likely means they're staying & it's A Logical Inference with Coach Change & NMCs. Let me know what you think

Let’s Go STARS !!!!!!!! since they knocked off my Colorado Avalanche. I said it all year long that The Oilers would be Canadas last hope. Vancouver had a great season but were Super Gassed out by the start of the playoffs, Winnipeg had a very decent year and faded like always in the first round, The Leafs do what they do best every year and lose in the first or second round 😂😂.. I dont have to say much about the Calgary Flames other than they have the best Barn in the NHL to see a game Live and The Montréal Canadiens been in rebuild mode for a minute now with the way that organization draft prospects 🤦🏼‍♂️… The Ottawa Senators have a ton of young talented players that just cannot win on the Ice with all the craziness that goes on behind the scenes in Ottawa. As a Hockey Fan i would love to see the Canadian teams have more success than just what the Oilers give them. I will be VERY Surprised if Edmonton gets passed Dallas in the Western Conference Finals

You know I was all in for the Leafs to get Zadorov but he's not worth 6 mil in my opinion. Add a little more offense to his game than sure. The guy is not on the same level as prime Ryan McDonagh or TJ Brodie. PIM out the ass so you know he's not discipline either. But I'm saying this now and he's probably going to come to us for 8 mil a year 😂.

I agree with you. Seth Jones is not likely leaving Chicago. If I see anything, it's likely the fact Mitch Marner or John Tavares or both head to Chicago for a few younger/cheaper players. I think that I already gave you a few names.

Can you please explain to me the logic and keeping a player like Marner who turns from an excellent regular season player to a scared little kitten in the playoffs for the last eight years? If you were GM, would you want someone like that on your team? Do you not see the logic and freeing up $11m in cap space? TBH I don’t know why any GM would want Mitch Marner unless they don’t care about winning in the playoffs. And of course it’s not all his fault, I’m not saying that, but what I am saying is that he has not pulled his weight in the playoffs. Nylander was good in last season’s playoffs. This go around they came across a hot goalie in Swayman. And sometimes I was wondering if Marner was even playing! And with all this, they still took a better team to seven games and overtime. Hockey is a game of inches. I wonder what the outcome would have been if Woll wasn’t injured. We’ll never know.

Sammy 100% isn't being re-signed. Leafs aren't committing to any UFA goalie long term. Woll and Hildeby are the future and they shouldn't sign any UFA goalie for more than 2 years. Has anyone in Marner's camp said he wants to be moved? He is only being traded if he wants to.

Said a guy who obviously didn’t watch any Blues games this year. Stats don’t mean shit when it comes to Binner. Dude stops pucks. That’s it. When he doesn’t, it’s because his D can’t keep F2’s off the backdoor. Or little guys like Faulk can’t keep big centers away from the scoring alley, so he can’t see the shot coming. His glove had issues in 2020, but he’s fixed it and he’s elite. Ask anyone who knows goaltending
