@@va_valentin_ LEGO's are VERY expensive. A rough ballpark estimate puts them at about $150 per 1000 pieces (give or take). And I'm just guessing here , that train city is in the realm of 250,000 pieces. That's 250 x $150, or $37,000 (disclaimer: this is just a very uneducated guess, I wish they told us how many pieces are in that city) So, maybe you don't "NEED" to be a millionaire, but few people other than millionaires can afford to drop $37,000 on LEGOs, most folks need to pay for more important things like housing and food. But if you are passionate about LEGOs, and wisely manage you money, you can spend tens of thousands of dollars at a time on LEGOs. But you will have to restrict all other areas of your life. Do you want to spend your money on junk food and video games, or save it and build an epic LEGO sculpture that is worth as much as a new car (or more).

There's something about seeing a massive LEGO City layout like this that just makes my inner child go crazy. All the little plastic bricks in perfect harmony to make a beautifully artistic layout. Bravo. Would love to make a stop motion with a layout like this!

Great shooting (and subsequent editing), as always! And what sheer luck, to get to run your train in a place like that! The city itself is pure madness! I can only wish I could spend as much time playing as the builders spent putting all of this together!

Thank you! I am so lucky to be able to play on the better side of the fence with those layouts!! Still it's nerve wrecking to work so close to such a layout! I also made a train crash in the MIDDLE of the layout so they had to go ON the layout to fix my screwups! :D A video of how such a thing looks is coming soon! They told me this layout was just for this show and that it's now in pieces again...

The only reason why I’m slightly disappointed is because the trains didn’t go underwater. But that would have made it unrealistic. This is a fantastic set! I could only build something like that in my dreams.

Yes correct. Lego World is held every year in The Netherlands in Utrecht. But there are similar shows everywhere worldwide!

Good, but most of the buildings/trains/boats etc are simply as built out of the box. The only innovative feature was the landscaping. Would have been much better if some MOCs had been incorporated.

How to. Little children do not matter. AFOL and train fan do matter. When it's a faithful copy of the train, it matters. Also no locomotive in the middle of a train.

Kind of funny to see that TGV running at the same speed as the freight train pulled by a GP40. It isn't realistic, but seeing a European and American train side by side like that is cool!
