Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League North. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Over the last two days i’ve watched all the games up to this video. The opposing goalkeeping, defending and the Tags lack of finishing has been like watching/playing a game of fifa where nothing goes right. But SOMEHOW SOMEWAY the boys are sitting in 7th at this point and it feels like there’s some momentum building. Up The Tags much love from Seattle

Brilliant win, brilliant video, brilliant commentary, brilliant rivalry. I can only think of Dundee and Merseyside to rival that 5 (actually 16) minute drive! However, I'm beginning to dislike the opening few shots where you show a couple of truncated highlights, because you just know those are chances that didn't go in. Like, with Sam Cornish's one-on-one, it just killed all the tension or emotion for me, despite Seb and Spen's energetic commentary... But it's clearly a format that's worked for years, so who am I to complain?

Good performance and happy to get the win, but the that could have easily been one where the game finishes 2-2 and we are talking about the missed chances. Seriously should be looking at maybe a new striker in January. That again should have been 3 or 4-0 hashtag before that wonder goal from billiricay

Some of those draws could’ve easily been wins, theyve only lost 3 games which is better than Hastings and Billericay (who they just beat) above them in the play off spots
