I went through early onset Alzheimer’s with my dad when he was 61, I know how hard this is. Keep all your memories of her close to your heart throughout this journey, it helped me on the days that were super tough. I am praying for you and your mother and your whole family. Sending hugs ❤

My favorite thing about holidays, both Thanksgiving and Christmas, is just seeing the kids get so excited, but also not being in a rush and truly spending time together and making memories with the family. Christmas is my favorite holiday, not because of the gift but because I love seeing how beautiful my city and my mom house get decorated and how I spend that quality time helping my mom decorate, life is so short and those memories are so special to me and now I’m a mom so my kids help and I’m glad my kids can have those memories and their happy faces when they see Christmas light and the Christmas tree light up every night. My grandma's birthday is november 21st. She used to get sad her birthday was always lumped in with thanksgiving. I'm most excited to bake a spice cake in honor of her this year on her birthday. She passed during the pandemic and I miss her dearly.

The thing I look forward to most around Christmas time is taking my kids to see the Christmas lights. Their eyes light up with excitement and joy every time. We love drinking hot cocoa while we walk the light shows. Getting to see the Christmas magic through their eyes is the most precious thing.
