Huge Male Gorilla Slaps His Son's Back So Hard! | The Shabani Group | Silverback

Higashiyama Zoo is getting very hot. It is already midsummer.
In such heat, Shabani's son Kiyomasa and daughter Annie were playing hard.
Shabani was watching them near them.
After a short while, Perhaps Shabani saw the pained expression on daughter Annie's face, Shabani suddenly ran up to son Kiyomasa and slapped him as hard as she could on his back.
Kiyomasa was not satisfied and protested against Shabani by beating his chest, but Shabani was chasing him around.
Seeing the commotion, the chimpanzees in the neighborhood got excited and made a commotion.
Yotsuba, a baby chimpanzee, was especially happy to see the large Shabani dashing around.
Shabani seems to be the center of everyone's attention.

Shabani was born in the Appenheul Primate Park, Netherlands.
Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

Those chimps go crazy when something happens in the gorilla enclosure, Shabani didn't lash out at Kiyo, but it's still tense ATM. Shabani rocks.💛✨

Kiyo and Gentaro would really benefit and learn alot by living together. It's sad these zoo's won't do what's best for them.

They probably are making plans and they are just in the process of finding a new good zoo home for him which isn't easy. Especially if Genaro can't get along with the other gorillas then the keepers will find a spot for him even if he has to travel across the world to another zoo then they will do that but transferring animals isn't a walk in the park either because animals are very fragile mentally and physically plus transferring wild animals is very massive and dangerous process for all parties. That's why I always send my condolences to the keepers because they have to go through and do a lot of labor, risk their lives and learn a lot about animal biology and psychology in order to keep these gorgeous creatures alive.

@lizzyyork So true. If Japan's zoos would become part of the Species Survival Program that we see in America and Europe, the transfer of animals would be easier to facilitate. But, when it comes to Gentaro, he is owned by the Chiba Zoo, and that is a big part of the hold up in getting him moved.

@@chicachuqueen I don’t think that Japan zoos are a part of the species survival program by acredited zoos , plain of zoos don’t like the way japan zoos do with their animals. Exemple the numbers counting that Gentaro and Kintaro do.

I love the chimpanzees watching and getting very excited about proceedings that are unfolding next door. The equivalent of putting a glass to the wall to listen to your next door neighbours arguing. If you live in a semi-detached or terraced home. Fabulously human like.

@@tyeishamcbride7127 , and they have such different personalities. Haoko is very laid back, whereas Shabani is always up for doing devilish things. You can see it in his eyes. Love them both.❤️🇺🇸

I love it too. And his brushing his hands over his head as he leans down. I think it’s just a thing he does and now Kiyo does it too, including holding ropes in his mouth like Shabani. Kiyo sees it as Silverback behavior. I’ve not seen it with the other four families I watch.

I think Shabani may have looked a little surprised that no one came after him. It looks like he checks to see where each one is at after the monkeys start “heckling”😂. Like what? Everybody gonna leave me alone today after I smacked & chased the golden boy?!!! 🤣😂❤️🦍❤️

It was long due! Kiyo has been very bad, sex with the females, no respect to his dad etc etc. Shabani is and was a very patient silverback.

I think out of all animals gorilla and lions are the ones I hate seeing not being able roam free in the wild. They are kings! I know at least here they seem well treated just wish wasn't necessary.

SAG, this was hilarious. Annie and Kiyo playing so freely. They were all just doing their thing. I don't know why but it's so funny when a gorilla slaps another one, usually it's on the back. Sometimes it's so hard it echos for a half mile.🤣I don't want them to feel pain, but it's funny. Then the chimps are up on their tower just cheering on what could turn into a possible fight. Jumping up and down. This whole video was hilarious. Great video.🤣💕

These gorillas enjoy having fun,, The young males love to instigate a commotion or two within twenty minutes,, they play wrestle amongst their own ages peers,, some enjoy setting off their father alpha leader TOP MAN, dad usually ignores the young boys trying to take him on,, it interesting to watch,

The place of shabani is far better than momotaros place. It's more greener and cleaner unlike momotaros place it's sandy, soily and has many little stones

Why these garrillas so skinny when do they feed them in the wild they eat plants all day by the tons they eat all day different plants and vegetables they vegetarians they have to eat 5hours a day at a time where is they food I never seen a skinny siver back in my life until now it's desurbing to watch these garrillas are so skinny animal cruelty starving these poor garrillas
