This is the tom I harvested January 2023. The dogs performed fantastic, I found the short side of the track just before noon and turned out. The dogs took it right away and after half a mile tracking, they had him on his feet. He ran about a mile and treed in some cottonwoods at the bottom of the main canyon. I was lucky enough to get to share the experience with my youngest daughter as you can see. Sorry for the shoddy videography, I record with my phone and I’m still learning how to edit.
The tom weighed 167lbs and green scores 14 and 15/16 inches. I hope to have him officially scored later this year. For anyone who is curious, yes I am eating him and no I didn’t leave any meat in the field.

Nice Tom!!!! It’s good to see someone letting females go! And even better that you getting your daughter into the sport young!!!! Dogs looked great, and the truck is a beast! I run hounds in northern Utah, I really enjoyed the content keep up the good work! Cameron Adams

Thank you Cameron! I’m all about the hunt and not the kill. Brooky isn’t my only daughter, her older sister had school or she would have been there too. She’ll be in future videos, I’m sure. I think I’ve got a video with her in it but I can’t remember if I posted it on here or not. I take pride in my hounds, they’re bred right and I treat them right. If it wasn’t for them, I would be lost. Thanks on the truck! I put a ton of work into it. Last year, it sat the winter in the mountains with a blown transmission lol. She’s got a better trans now. I appreciate your response and I hope to keep it coming. I would like to get a better camera and maybe even a designated computer for video editing this year. Right now I’m on my iPhone…

I do it regularly. My oldest is getting a little bit big to carry her around now, but my others are still little. I hope to het my son to a tree this year!

Enjoy that angel in your passenger seat! She’s a doll! Someday I hope to take a trip west with my dogs and daughter to chase lions!

Thank you Adam, she sure is! I hope all of my kids catch the hound hunting bug like I have. Once they’re big enough, we’ll transition to hunting on horse back so we can get off the roads. Those will be the videos I’m really going to enjoy making!
