If I had to pick a single brand for life it would absolutely be losi. Their designs are stellar and nothing rivals losi suspension in my honest opinion. If they made scale crawlers I wouldn't own any other brand. I love 1/5 scale but I can never continuously find good places to run them so I gotta wait till I buy a bigger piece of property before I make the jump to 1/5 scale again. My hobby shop had one of those in stock when I went to pick up my Axial. I could not believe the size of it. You really have to see it to believe it. Somebody bought it the same day it was delivered.

Good choice I have the original one so old now but it only has maybe half a dozen original stock parts now, I run a Scott Finlay Performance Evo40RC engine dual steering servo mod. You need to either put a length of silicone pipe to put over the stock can to direct the oil caking the inside or better still a pipe as it really livens up with a pipe, an aftermarket air filter and, Outerwears pre-filter might as well get the pull start, crankcase and shock socks they really save the parts from dirt dust snow, preferably do not buy the LOSI upgrade pipe the Bartolone one in steel finish than when fitted coat with oil run it then wipe any excess, maybe get some exhaust wrap from DDM. The next I recommend is one or both of the Kraken-RC Vekta-5 or the KV5TT these two are pretty similar under the body but there is enough difference's to make the driving different and fun fun fun, so go and enjoy the world of 5th scale gas and keep it shiny side up, your choice as top and bottom are shiny bring it on, and check the OBR tutorial on here Kevin is good but his fifth gas knowledge is very very limited take this from a guy with eight working three project builds but has a UDR and an SDT in the electric category.

Cool video, I'm looking at buying a 5ive T 2.0 and i got to see one in person at my local hobby shop and track. And i might convert mine to electric but i'm not sure if i want to buy a roller and build it from that or just get the bind and drive and run it gas until i'm either forced to convert it or when i bored of the gas motor. Also, for what you paid for three tubes of Shoe Goo, you could get a whole tube of similar product to load into a caulking gun. I don't recall the name of the product I used to caulk my plastic shed, but it was the same clear, thick goo, that smells the same as Shoe Goo.

I had a gas car with two gears installed. The problem I didn’t have a starter box and it was a pull start. Also with gas you will constantly be adjusting the air/fuel ratio constantly but it’s fun and you will learn. Also make sure you don’t leave fuel long in the tanks and engine. It will gum up. Wait!!! You have a monster truck you know what you are doing 🤣😎

If it doesn't come with one I highly recommend installing a kill switch. You don't want that thing taking off on its own. Trust me.
