Nice Reinhart signing. He's on the right team and in the right tax bracket. Guentzel is not a right shot. Seems a little long and a little much but if you're playing with Kucherov, all is good. Pens are now a Dubas league wide joke. Everybody makes moves and we ended up with Dubas and FSG. YIKES!!

Guentzel is good but he isn't Stamkos, I mean I get it , he is 29 but that's so much of an overpayment

Thanks for the great report Mike! Re: Reinhart: he's barely worth $8.6 million...and don't forget.....Dubass overpaid Marner. He's not worth the $$$ the Leafs paid him so his true value is probably MUCH LESS than what he's currently getting and definitely what he THINKS he deserves. Sooo....having said that...we shouldn't compare Reinhart to Marner IMHO. Lastly: the NHL is NOT the NBA, MLB, NFL!!!! NHL players will NEVER make the type of $$$ those players make and frankly they shouldn't....it will totally destroy the league if teams start forking out super high salaries to the Uber elite players like candy. 1. There has to be a limit. 2. One superstar does NOT win the Cup (right Connor McD!!!) 3. Teams have got to sign smartly and develop talent from within. Rarely does a "ringer" come over at the trade deadline and win you the cup.

Reinhart's projections were 11.3 million / year, 8.6 milly is a steal. Also says a lot about the player to take 2.7 million less than what the league is valuing you at.
