What has me skeptical is the move icons. I feel like even when new Pokémon hit the public test server they often reuse existing icons because the icons are one of the last things that get locked down.

At 1:20, no that's probably wrong, the move descriptions are translated, probably from a language lacking articles (I believe that's Japanese), so it's not about "A" pokemon, but about Ho-oh, so it's not that anyone on your team gets a heal just because Ho-oh is on your team. Although that's of course still possible, but it seems like other descriptions have similar translation issues.

Ah yes, a team-wide revive. That sounds incredibly balanced and not centralizing at all. At least other EX Pokémon were just normally stronger (better versions of existing archetypes), this sounds like the kind of thing that is so uniquely good that it will be a requirement on every team.

Tailwind sounds like eldegoss leaf tornado effect but unilateral. while leaf tornado effect works in all direction, with tailwind, you have to go where the wind blows to be fast. doung the opposite side slows you

We have an EX Defender already. It's Umbreon lol Very weird that it doesn't have Sacred Fire, its signature move. The Unite could be very mid actually if the allies revive with 20% HP or so, and depending on the range and animation too. Now I need to see if the passive works with Rescue Hood, because based on the wording of the item, it totally should!

@3:17 it means while your walking in the wind you’ll get increased speed and walking in the opposite direction that your teammate placed the tailwind your speed will be reduced basically elde/Tsarenna but has a negative affect if you decide to retreat from advancing the fight

The only way that unite move is isnt ridiculously busted would be if it gives you a long pree warning, pluse a good 5 second stun so you have time to burst them down. (Assuming they dont respawn in base)

But I feel the moves make it more of a Supporter than a defender.. It heals, increases the movement speed, reduces opponents attack... And what does it do for being a defender?

The move set doesn't sound like a defender at all. Yes, it has a personal shield move, but it sounds way more like a Supporter. I think regen will be itself only. The language there is pretty similar to what is on Leftovers (though admittedly its usually THE pokemon, not A pokemon)

Im a little skeptical just for how the Safeguard icon looking off and how the Boosted Attack and Fire Spin icons have the exact same flame effects. Other than that this isn't too different than similar moveset only leaks that have happened in the past

I think the resurection should be revive a single ally and the more aeos energy it consumes the more hp it gets or maybe a shield, otherwise seems to broken...

I like how almost all the legendary Pokémon got these SUPER MOVES and EX forms Except Zeraora and the Support legendary Hoopa. I also feel like Hoopa also got dealt a bad hand because his one move especially where teammates can return to base, most people avoid it. That move is only good really with communication. Its like they forgot these two and every one since has been overpowered. I also think ban picks should be not just in master rank but their should also be a role pick or position pick so three people don’t run mid and grief over it.

I'm wondering if Fire Spin is flipped and it's not your ALLIES take damage, but YOU take damage FOR them. Or maybe it's a big AoE leech? Hard to say. This was likely machine translated so it's hard to figure out.

I don't think so it's gonna happen cuz ho-oh is darn big like one of the biggest Pokemon if they are adding a new ex the best would be rather darkrai or jirachi (darkrai as all-rounder and jirachi as supporter)

With this revive mechanic I think we'll get another pokemon with a Unite Move focused on cancelling or blocking the Unite Move of a enemy pokemon. That way Ho oh won't be that broken

I was half expecting cresselia to be the next ex defender but this doesn't sound that bad except this seems to have a more broken unite move.

I play a lot of the pokemon TCG and how ex pokemon are balanced in that game is that your opponent gets much closer to their win condition when they KO your ex pokemon. I kinda want the same balance here. Like what if each KO of an ex pokemon disables their goal zones for a period of time. Or each of your ex pokemon that gets KOd gives the opponents team wide xp. This balances it in a way where players that are not very good but play ex pokemon are basically a liability and you have to be really good to even consider playing an ex without forsaking the team. So it's almost better to just olay powerful normal poke.on than the ex ones unless you can guarantee that you can play well with them. It will be horrible upon release of a patch like this, because you will see a lot of bad ex players lose you some games, but the hope is to push bad ex players down the ladder and get them out of masters hopefully.

I hope this means Lugia is coming as well

Not a translation issue, but not worded the best Edit: The unite should be changed to one ally with a % of health equal to the aeos energy used, so it caps at 50%. Sounds a bit more fair to me then to release a god-tier ressurection

I feel like this should be a supporter 100%, especially with the passives/unite move. That plus the lack of its signature move just feels strange to me- while obviously some pokemon are missing theirs, it'd feel super strange for a legendary so closely tied to its move. My biggest thing though? If this is real... I'd worry a bit more for phil and thier source. The only reason ElChicoEevee is able to get away with it is their anonymity- this would be a lot more of an issue.

I'm sure tailwind means that YOUR teammates in the moves direction move faster while OPPOSING pokemon that are in it go slower. Judging by competitive doubles that is (tailwind doesn't make your opponents go slower just makes you're team move faster in comp) or it could definitely be griefing your own team but I seriously doubt that though
