Different sub species. That’s a Patagonia Southern Sea Lion. The biggest ones are Stellars and they get to 2,500lbs. The sea lions you see at the zoos are the smallest species

They are not in the same family. Dogs are in Canidae, bears are in Ursidae, and seals and sea lions are in Pinnipedia. They are in the same sub-order but not the same family.
