I know I stopped with these fancy fade parted side stuff. I just buzz my hair a 5.5 on the top and razor the sides and back off. It almost looks like a bald fade but without the annoying fade blending stuff. I'm kinda tall and keep the line way on top so really no one can see it. They just see a clean groomed buzz on top of my head. It is something short so I don't have to deal with it. Having this parted hair is nice for only 4 or 5 days. I like my new bald buzz on top look. It is low maintenance too and does not spoil either if swimming or it is a windy day. Also it Lasts for like 2 months now before I see the hair getting too long. I love it.

I don't know what country you are from but the majority of places that make wigs require a certain length of hair before it is useful, as a lot ot the length gets lost when creating the wig. If they have very long hair then putting it into ponytails, chopping them off & donating them is a good idea (btw the majority of places want clean but not recently washed hair that is tied together.) They would need information on what their chosen wig maker requires though...

My salon used to donate hair but we donate wigs or the money to to putchase wigs. Hair is really not donated any longer. People screw their hair up so much its nit useable because its so damaged. 😬

I sometimes cut my own hair, and at times, other's. I've used scissors, and I've done this method shown. I prefer this method being shown, because you can get a more even, flat cut on the ends of the hair, and a less uneven/looked like your hair wass slightly butched by a butcher look. 😂 This is also how I get my bangs more even, and more in line just in the middle of or below my eyebrows, where I prefer my bangs to be.

I even took one if my own hairs from the front, put it in the same direction that his was going in the front, and it got to the corner of my eyebrow & it’s 6”. Then I took one of my hairs from the side part of the front, pulled it straight down and saw that it went to about 3” past the corner of my eyebrow (also around slightly past my mouth), held it in place at my eyebrow, and pulled the remaining 3” across to just touching my ear, which is about where his hair in the front was going across to. Also, before you say that it actually went up and behind his ear, that was obviously just the part of his hair in that section that’s towards the side part of the front and closer to his ear. So, 3+6=9, so his hair is only past his chin and not shoulder length.
