For what it's worth, a positive display that reverses to negative when backlit isn't new. The GW-M5610MW-7 did that as far back as 2018. I don't know if there was a difference to the backlight technology but the same effect has been achieved before.

I got a black DW-5600 with the silver faceplate. The body didn’t have any painted features either. I put this module, with the silver faceplate in a full steel body & bracelet kit. I didn’t realize Casio did this with a silver resin package. I almost feel like they took my idea and ran with it (but not really).😂

The reverse LED is very cool. I wonder if it fades in and out - that would be the chocolate drizzle on top.

I like the new LED backlight, glad they're trying not to use the ugly side LED on new models because if that I would prefer the EL. I read the EL actually has a longer lifespan than the LED backlight, I'm not sure if it's a fact but I read it somewhere that it was the downside to the extended battery life.

Surely a new way 4 innovation w/ nu module causin nu chips,provides effectivly battery life(it can make a nu deal 4 people who dislike gshock w/ tough solar panel but still have longer battery life),but i assume d'button settin still same w/ older.. Theres also a nu type: glx5600 i heard it has a nu engine module 2.. Glx5600 has function in tidegraph+moonphase data,but w/ nu module(d'older was 3519),wonderin w/ long last battery,casio put another update in moon+tides info.. Very curious but i still cant find yet in indonesia..

Nice.. But for me, is more cosmetic fashion marketing. The big step is the battery from 2 to 5 years.. Humm I more interested in the evolution of the GBD200 or GBD100. A mixture between the classical digital watch and some smart watch functions at very low power consumption. But that's the Japanese way, not change the tradition.. don't brake the zen way? If is working not fix it ;P

The metal covered skeleton camo square from 2020 did the same negative backlight trick, but I don’t believe it’s LED. This new module with the increased battery life is extremely cool

I have that same LED on my GWB5600SL-4 (red color sand and land), and I must say it is very nice to look at in the dark. Just pointing out it's not the first square to feature this LED, but maybe the first non-solar. This red sand and land is on sale in my region, and I think it's the best value in any square on the market here in Canada. Solar, multiband 6, and that sweet LED. Guys, just buy it! You'll love it. BTW I was in Aruba last summer. What a beautiful country! Thanks for the video.
