Having some severe health struggles right now, and as silly as it might sound, seeing Mildred's little tail wag, and how hard she is trying , really lifted my spirits today. I needed to see this! I am going to keep on, and keep going, until I get where I want to be!

Mildred reminds me so much of my GSD, Abby. She too was starved and suffering from Lyme disease. She has went from 42 pounds to 60 pounds and with antibiotics her Lyme disease is under control. She is so loving and protective over me. She sleeps right next to me every night and it's as if she's been with me forever. Rescued dogs are the best!

I have tears in my eyes from seeing how far Mildred has come, from the life she had before to the life she is living now. It is amazing. Mildred Is living a dog's life now. Mildred I think has a heart of a warrior, she knew there is a reason for to fight to keep going. Her heart kept telling her that the reward in the end is so worth it. I always think with your love and gentle way about you, you nurturing ways helped her see that she could do it. Your reinforcement confirmed to her you where never giving up on her, never!! You’re a God-send for Mildred (and the rest of your sweet doggos)! You are a wonderful, inspirational person. I was literally housebound for 6 months this year, due to my painfully messed up spine. Literally could only leave my apartment by being transported in a wheelchair van! There were days when the pain was so severe that I didn’t think I could take it anymore. I’d pray before bed to die in my sleep. But sites like yours, and other animal-related sites, helped keep me smiling as I strived to keep myself together.
