This vintage & salvage home decor video is the last in my series from my spring visit to Plaid Umbrella Collective. It is part 9! This shop has a huge salvage parts area for the creative bunch!! It also had some great collections of vintage can, jars, bottles etc...and so much more! The amount of salvage items divided up into really cool bins and storage is amazing! Just the thought process of displaying it is impressive!! Loved my visit to the shop and will definitely be going back to do another video tour in the future! If you enjoy this video please consider subscribing to my channel ‪@PerchAndPatina‬ Thanks so much!!!

Oh my goodness! Put a bow on that video and call it a Mother's Day gift. When I saw you had put up another video I got myself a bowl of ice cream and enjoyed both at the same time. Your videos are so appreciated.

Oh JoDee you made me smile! I am so glad you got to enjoy the video and your ice cream!! I bought some cones today so that I can have some of the orange sherbert I bought last week! (forgot to get the cones!) & I only eat it from a cone, picky about sherbert that way and I finally remembered to get some at the store today!!! It is so nice to sit down and read that you enjoyed the new "Mother's Day" video!!! Trying to get some gardening videos going but just been doing all the grunt work so far getting the gardens ready for all the plants I bought. Not very interesting I am sure, lol I hope to get to more shops too still this month! So keep an eye out friend! Enjoy your day! -Lynn

Hello Lynn, What a wonderful video! I enjoyed every bit of it. It was like a step back in time for me. I was born in 1954 and growing up in the sixties I recall so many of these items. I remember collecting soda bottles and returning them to our grocery store for nickels and seeing them stacked in those wooden crates. Take care and have a wonderful week. Your friend, Diane.😊

Diane thank you so much for always being so kind! I'm so glad you like this video and such great memories came back!! Wasn't that such a great display!! So many colorful cans too! I remember my dad always got us the 8pk of Pepsi bottles. I too remember when we used to bring them back to the store for the deposit!! Wishing you a great week ahead my friend, take care! -Lynn

I love all the wooden crates and wire baskets. This video reminded me of walking through an old general store from the 1950s. I saw a box with OMAR on it. I wondered if it was from the OMAR company that sold things door to door when I was a kid. It was always exciting when the truck pulled up and the driver brought in a canvas basket of goodies. My sweet grandmother could usually be persuaded to pick us up a little something for a sweet tooth. 😊 Thanks, Lynn, very enjoyable.

Hi Deborah!!! When I was at the shop the gentleman who's booth is in the video asked me if I had seen the "Wall of Crates" yet. I had no idea it was back there. I thought it was a wonderful walk thru the past to see all those crates. I never heard of OMAR but that sounds like it was very interesting!!! I do know my grandmother worked for one of the names on the crates! I found it so amazing to see that there! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! That was the last in the series for that visit to Plaid Umbrella! I can't wait to go back! Thanks so much for letting me know you liked the video! Hope you've had a great weekend my friend! -Lynn

Thanks so much Lorraine! It is at the Plaid Umbrella in Plano, Illinois. It was the last in the series of videos I did from there this Spring. The shop is so large I had to divide up my footage. I am glad you like it friend! Hope you have a great week!!! -Lynn
