@J Knox hugh's dad is a very famous ethic professor and his wife is on a show about political power and warfare not to mention his own wild beautiful mind so i think he gives a crap it's just weird how he has to speak about politics just because he's British. Stephen should have spoken about fear and loyalty and community and power in reference to our current climate and his show the path.

39 and 40 hit him like a rock x"""D kidding, he had to shave for The Path while we pretty much in love with his furrier look. Seriously as he's too good-looking for his character The Path made him shave. This hairstyle he's having just grew out from his closely cut hairstyle in the series. My worry is that when Hannibal comes back, will he able to grow his hair out, as i'm guessing The Path will continue for a long time.

Now that I watched both Hannibal the TV series and the movie I think Anthony Hopkins gave the character a true psychopathic scary image whereas Mads Mikkelsen gave him a class, culture, and unpredictability. Although I like Anthony Hopkins version little better. It really gives chills.

I think Hopkins' version instilled genuine fear and as you said gave the character that psychopathic nature and his performance is incredible. Whereas Mads Mikkelsen's version was brilliant at making you feel unnerved, he brought a lot of tension to the role whilst keeping that supreme confidence that we associate with Hopkins' version.

I do too but it's impossible. Neil Gailman is gonna supervising the work heavily, Bryan would be respectful and write along with 3 other writers. The pilot ep no doubt's Bryan's, but from there we won't know.

sigh you're right, at least I hope he puts in a crap ton of easter eggs. I can see just be the trailer than the buffalo is American God's version of the stag and the tree imagery strongly reminded me of the murder of the councilman in Futamono. Just wishes here, I thought season 3 of hannibal had a bit too much fan service at the start but the latter half was just as good as season 2. I WANT MORE JUST PLEASEE

Colbert pulls his political game too much. Tho overall i still pretty much enjoy the talk as Hugh is very punny, as always. No mentioning of Hannibal, no talking what are you doing in the Path, quite fresh actually. We all know he went to boarding school but just now we know he didn't happily appreciate the school because it was boring and making people learning its own language. and well, just hearing him laugh is enough to melt my heart.

Great Britain is not a country. it's a purely geographical term to describe the larger of the British Isles, so "great" in the sense of "big"... the big island. Ireland is the smaller island. The full name of our country is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Unfortunately many of our citizens seem to have delusions of grandeur based on the common misconception about the name.

Great Britain is _not_ the name of any country. It refers to the largest of the British Isles, or sometimes to all the islands that are part of the territories of the its three constituent countries, England, Wales, and Scotland. It never refers to _all_ the British Isles, as that would include Ireland (geographically correct, but politically controversial), and the Isle of Man (a self governing crown dependency, that is _not_ a part of the UK). The name of the country of which Great Britain is a part of (or three parts of), is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. If Scotland leaves, maybe they can call themselves the United Kingdom of _Southern_ Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I know its pertinent to the time but i doubt all Stephens American guests have to talk politics. I know Hugh is a smarty pants but the political talk would have been better facilitated through a conversation about The Path a conversation about community and religion and spirituality, fear and how power corrupts because that show is very relevant to where we are in the world.

@@lottalove2449 people thought that by leaving the EU, we would take back control of our borders and our laws. so basically they said the EU was forcing us to take immigrants and that the EU decided what laws we can and can't do. whilst technically that is true it was greatly exaggerated in the media and by politicians, meaning people were influenced and voted to leave and now a lot of the people who voted leave want to stay because of these false accusations but its to late now. For example my dad voted stay and my mum voted leave and now my mum is upset as she wants to stay now and she was given false information. prices may go up in things swell. the bad thing is that people thought immigrants were stealing our jobs but they weren't and that is disgusting the government made people believe that, there's nothing wrong with immigrants coming over, they twisted the fact that immigrants took the jobs we didn't want to stealing all our jobs which is completely false. I was 14 when Brexit first came up and now I'm turning 18 its literally crazy everyone wants this to be over with now its so stressful even for the public

Not to be an arse and he's joking yes, but it's called Great Britain because when James I took the throne of England he was already the king of Scotland so the two kingdoms were combined, the land mass is called The British Isles, they called the new domain Great Britain. It's more a notation of size, the new state being larger than before than a description of accomplishment/ power, i.e. Greater Manchester/London is the area around the city not a necessarily superior place. Well that was worth it...

Great Britain is a geographical term. The "great" in Great Britain refers to the size of the island that contains England, Scotland and Wales. It's not a "we're great!" thing. The term was used to differentiate from a smaller Britain (either from the Ireland island or, later, from what is now Brittany). Also it isn't Great Britain that is splitting from the EU, it's the country of the United Kingdom, which includes Northern Ireland.

I feel inclined to point out that it's not called Great Britain out of any sort of arrogance it's only called that because it's the largest of the British isles, so England is a specific country whereas Great Britain refers to the island that also encompasses Scotland and Wales
