I just hired a personal trainer for my kiddos. I’m sending my 11& 14 year old together. My 14 is in basketball and works out in HS. My 11 year old gained a ton of weight over Covid and hadn’t lost it. They are going tomorrow for their 4th session. It’s $100 a shot but if he doesn’t get a grip with fitness … his life, I feel , will never reach its potential. He’s inspired and loves working out. Gotta keep him going 💪💪💪

The discussion about the level of “on” in your job is important. I personally believe that trying to increase your “on-ness” in any job is a crucial step towards a meaningful life. Find a way to make yourself more present, regardless of your job. Not necessarily work more or harder but just focus on being more present. Whatever it takes. Take active breaks, get a standing desk, develop a side project, adjust your workspace, change the lighting.

Excellent show, this was really a goodfella's reunion. " Migliori Amici"! Don presented a humanistic and positive presentation of the fitness business in NYC. Sal & Adam presented constructive questions that allowed Don express himself in an open and positive manner. Justin accentuated that needed positive support. Well done !

That’s crazy someone would even say that. If and when I have my own company I would want my employees to feel valued even if I could replace them. In the past any time I felt devalued I would find another job. Now I work mainly for myself. That’s why when companies like Walmart are constantly being stolen from I could careless.

Hey Gentlemen! I adore Don and enjoyed this episode :-). He spoke about training a couple non conventional clients (extremely obese). Suggesting you take a page from his book and do the same. It would be great to see your training experience, knowledge and unique approach applied to a “regular” client (not extreme on either end). This would provide valuable insight for your Mind Pump Community! Pretty please consider this venture AND bring your viewers along for the ride. 😊

I think a really big thing for this generation, social media and even politics these days is what he touched on here: Engagement and authenticity! People value the passion of other people doing what they love...or what is right, etc. Especially in US politics I have noticed this trend. If you do not come across as authentic. You're toast. It might have to do with the wish to be treated like a human being and see someone act like a human being instead of hyper polished career politicians.

1:05:00 🙏 One could have a lifetime batting average of .170 but I assure you, if they hit a walk off in the bottom of the 9th of the NLCS to send their team to the World Series for the first time in franchise history... No one will give two shits (or even remember) that batting average.... This is why, with every strike out, it's imperative to learn from it yes... but to let it go...and to not bring it with you up to your next at bat... All it takes is that one moment...that one swing, that one at bat...that seemingly nullifies all those "failures" in the past... Hooyah MindPump..
