"Hey, shawty, I know your ba-donka-donk has you chuffed to bits, but after hearing you chin wag about it for the past hour, I really wish you'd stop flossing".
You didn't quite get much of the sentence above, right? Well, it's because it blends some American and British slangs.

The fantastically talented Hugh Laurie paid a house call to Ellen, at her "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". They played an exciting game of American slang versus English slang -- it was hilarious. Have fun and learn the slangs. Then, try to "translate" the sentence into more "conservative" English words.

Ellen’s American slang isn’t really widely used stuff, but Hugh is using legitimate British slang terms that probably most people in the UK know.

I think Ellen's were all pretty much standard Slang terms in those times. Most Americans would know flossing badonak donk and shawty or shorty. For God's sake they all have songs with the names in them lolol.

@@TheBasher-_- "Most Americans" wouldn't know 'flossing' in that sense. That's super obscure. Most wouldn't have known shawty either, only most people of a certain age group.

Badonkadonk and shawty are definitely used here. Badonkadonk is less used but everyone I know knows what it is. Shawty is very popular though? The only one that wasn't is flossing, which is used for other meanings but not used by her definition

Ah, yes! Hello, fellow language learner. 😁 To be tied means for both people to have the same amount of points on something (especially in a game or sport), with neither one winning or losing. In this case, Hugh Laurie and Ellen DeGeneres both failed, so they tied. I hope that makes sense, and best of luck to you on your English-learning journey! 😊

How can he mispronounce half of these words (like saying shinwag instead of chinwag)? I thought he was an actor. Maybe he had some dental procedure or something, but this is atrocious. And also she pronounces shawty like shawdy. It's just strange that they can't English, in this video. The whole thing's off.
