Too bad, his character hasn't gotten any major character development, or he was portrayed this way, to which a simple hug can make his trousers drench, nothing wrong with guy but he is excessively self insecure, if so why should someone choose to "rent" a girlfriend where he cannot even talk to them looking straight into the eyes, this all adds up to a existential mess, or perhaps the author shares a few fragments of the protagonist's character himself .

Actually in the end credits there is a hinting of what happens: Kazuya gives up on Mizuhara as she is just a rental, knows Sumi is too good for him, Ruka is misguided, and Mami goes off on her own. Mami founds a clothing label and the four of them are the first four models. Photos from their first shoot are shown at the mansion and all other venues. No Kazuya to be found.

Have some girl only be with me as a job That's just.....humiliating and potentially demoralizing To do that I'm basically admitting that I'm not good enough for anyone and potentially put myself in situations like this.
