I'm just a casual listener of Le sserafim but it breaks my heart to see all the hate, harassment and bullying they're receiving. I'm thankful that Yunjin was able to create this song as a reminder for us that idols are humans too just like us. We demand them to such high standards that I'm pretty sure we can't even achieve ourselves. The pressure that they have to go through to become perfect singers, perfect dancers, perfect rappers, perfect performers with perfect personalities, flawless beauty just so as to be worthy to be called "idols". It's so easy for us to bully/hate/harass them online while we conveniently hide behind "anonymity" yet act surprised/worried when idols take hiatus or worse, commit sui**de. We pick and choose their imperfections then crucify them like they just committed such a heinous crime. The constant pressure for them to bring revenue to their companies, the struggle to have creative freedom over their crafts, the limitation to express their thoughts and opinions so as not to offend others, the sacrifices just to maintain their body image, the endurance to keep smiling despite all the hate & criticisms, going through all that but also trying not to lose themselves in the process. I just hope we be kinder and more empathetic to all idols, especially female idols. Idols are not our dolls. We don't get to demand or even tell them what they can or cannot do. We don't own them. To Le sserafim, I hope you all feel the love of the real people around you. You all can overcome this. I hope you can learn and improve at your own pace. All of you are unique and special. Completely raw emotions and the truth- not sugarcoated words along with the braveness to speak out not being afraid of backlash from a misogynistic community. This is perfection.
