Hey everyone! So this video is a bit different today! A couple weeks back Huion asked if I wanted to take a look at their new tablet, the H610PRO v2 Battery-Free Tablet, and do a review of it! They are not paying for the review, nor did they even give me any instructions on what I should say about it. I actually get the question a ton about my thoughts on them since there are a lot of art students that hang out in my chat. I've never been able to give them an answer, so I thought this was actually a cool way to check one out.
I've never done one of these before, so hope it was done well enough! Thanks for sticking with me on the channel all!

On another note, I left my wacom pen at my studio on thursday night and had to use the Huion Tablet for the 3 hour stream and had no issues!

Chubby Bunny No you cannot, if traveling by plane or in a car, I suggest getting the huion phone adapter, as it’ll plug right into your phone (check the necessary manual for setup) and you can draw on your phone. It is not a stand-alone tablet as it does not have a screen.

MODDED apk Pressure sensitivity is easily adjustable in the huion menu on your computer, and the latency is maybe .2 seconds to 0 seconds.

I started as a gamer/streamer and ended up falling back into my artistic self with mouse on illustrator/photoshop. I have been resisting getting a tablet just nervous, but this helped me decide to get one so thank you. Heard good things. Your work has been inspiring me to hop back into the complex projects. Dropping the base and the slo-mo replay made my day! Love your cat near the end of the video too! I'm currently using a Huion Kamvas GT-191 drawing tablet. Would love to know your opinion on that if you ever have a chance to try one. I just can't afford a full-sized Cintiq right now!

Hey Dave, great video! Been thinking about buying a touch screen tablet as I use them at work so going home and using my old pad tablet feels weird now. But I don't want to lose the skill of looking at the computer screen while drawing on the pad - would you say you found it pretty quick and easy to get back into it in this video? Thanks

I have this drawing tablet and it work really well but the only problem I have is the cable doesnt want to work no more? It keeps disconnecting and it doesnt want to work properly? And sometime when I go on paint tool sai the tablet doesnt want to work and just freezes up?

Hi Dave! I just bought this tablet and I am very excited to upgrade from my old Wacom bamboo! I noticed that the tablet doesn't have a scroll wheel, do you have any tips for quickly changing brush size? One thing I noticed from your stylized armored lion video is how fast you painted from thick broad shoulder pad strokes to tiny armor lines. Any tips are super helpful, thank you!

Lunar Star Studio I work on a tablet like this, and I found it very helpful to keep all my commonly used tools and brush settings on the wasd keys and around them so my left could tool manage while my right could focus on drawing. Most software allows you to rebind tool shortcuts so this was an easy way for me to get more mileage out of the tablet instead of relying on its hardware keys!

Before I have money, I was checking that Intuos too, and I measure both, the small and medium sizes that were in description, and both, the device size and drawing surface size. Man, medium is okey with me, but expensive for something like that, but the small one....I can't imagine myself working on such a tiny device for 100$, where medium costs ~200$... for such a price I could gather 200$ more and buy Huion with screen, 13 inches, and be done with it.

How do you push the top shortcut keys? Pushing them just moves the cursor to the top of the screen.

Hi dave... I've used my huion h610prov2 during online classes in GM with ms word & ms powerpoint ... Really helpful but my laptop always turn to dark screen after 5 minute... Students can still hear my voice but they are also see the dark black screen... So is that because of my windows 10 doesn't compatible with huion or my laptop driver problem or something else? Please do help me...

Thanks for doing this video. I'm just learning to draw but I'm struggling with a drawing tablet I have at the moment because the stylus has a jitter issue. I found this Huion H610 is pretty low priced compared to some others, so it's a great option forme since I'mnot even sure how much I'll be using it. Your review has been very helpful.

You can move the arrow by hovering the pen on the tablet! It is similar to a mouse except the whole screen is mapped to the tablet.

The huion tablet h610 V2 is great. The only issue is that the pen is very poorly made. Mine stopped working about three days after I started using it. I waited a week trying to contacting huion and they did not respond. The tablet itself is really good but the pen is poorly made and cheap. A couple days ago i took apart the pen and found that the soldering work on it was falling apart and the wiring was very bad. If you plan on buying a cheap one get the h610 pro NOT the h610 pro v2 because they even say on the website that it is the exact same except you get the battery pen.

I'm having driver issues and none of their "fixes" are working. The cursor disappears when I use the tablet and there's no pressure. It was working fine a week ago but now I don't know what to do. Their firmware tool detects no update, but the huion app itself says there is one. The actual driver says the device is connected but the huion tablet app doesn't, and it won't let me open the settings. I'm stuck and it's pissing me off that a simple function like opening a settings menu is broken.

Chloe Harrison I recently bought the Huion shown in this video from Amazon (from the original creators, Huion.) For $51 (including a two year plan.) From past experience with Huion, their tablets are pretty nice and smooth to work with. I have had no trouble with them, and they actually respond if you contact them. The one I got came with the artist glove, and the rechargeable pen holder. I have purchased a tablet with a screen, but I personally don’t like how it looks or feels, but it’s different for other people. (Sorry if any sentences seem badly spoken, my first language is Spanish hah)

Paint tool sai is good for drawing, it's super friendly and I use it all the time. For animations? Clip studio paint pro maybe, although it's fairly expensive

Krita is a great software to draw on, you can also animate on it, and it's completely free, it is also used just like Photoshop

Sejal Sanyal IT WAS PERFECT! Got it two christmas’s ago (2018-2019) and it was. a charm! the tablet itself weighs the same as maybe a notebook, so very light. The canle is not that long and it is easy to maneuver it around the computer. The pen has such a good feel to it,the black is a rubber cover and there are two buttons on the pen, and eight buttons on the tablet. And the little cone thing he accidentally dropped, it holds 8 spare nibs if you rotate the cone. The pen also already has a nib. So I give you a full 100% 5/5 star recommendation because this is so easy to just use.

I have this tablet its very good so far been using if for about a year for a beginner its everything you need. Edit 5 months after. : Wouldnt reccomend it anymore, it started skipping while i was in the progress of drawing, and ive reinstalled drivers everything, to try to fix it no luck at all, been trying to contact support hasnt worked 3 days still no answer.

Wut ? How come Your dad spent 1000$ just for a screen less tablet, while the Wacom Cintiq drawing monitor is around that price ? Even the Overpriced Wacom Intuos Pro is just 300$ ? I guess that's a typo.

That's the only way you can explain this new pricing, because the Cintiq 13HD has a smaller screen than the Cintiq 16. meaning the Cintiq 13HD should have been cheaper than the new Cintiq 16, but it wasn’t. Clearly, they were just charging luxurious prices before because they had no competition. It’s clear that more and more people are realizing that Wacom is not as good as their luxurious price would suggest. Especially after Wacom loses Their Advanced-battery-free-pen patent (and other 3 key patent), and The alternatives can make competitive tablet with way lower price..
