I am absolutely agree with your kind sincere comments, but we Khojas will never adhere to the principles of Islam taught by our Aemah. We khojas follow only which we see perfect fitting us and other principles trashed. Say it pick n choose. There is lot to be debated on various angels.

It is incumbent upon the religious scholars and especially Resident Alim should speak up if the community members are not following true Islam, what are the shortcomings and the solution (how to eradicate these shortcomings). It takes time but where there is a will there is a way. If each of us tries at least one bad sinful habit (like backbiting, telling lies, cheating and gossip etc)and tries to adopt one good habit (like being generous, helpful, giving good advice etc) at least once a day, or a week, or a month, the community will prosper.

I have heard that Mombasa jamaat wants to give their commercial plot to Chandarana that sell haraam items. This is also something that needs to be looked at..

We do need to understand that office bearers are 'servants' of the community they come here to serve not 'lead'. Also, we need to understand that everyone has flaws and no one is perfect... if you are 'PUBLICLY' sinning and staunch about it, then you cannot lead, yet as people of a community we should not force people to do things our way, we should also take into account our Prophets (saww) saying that "Think good about a person 70 times even if you see them doing bad". Please give people the benefit of the doubt... they are here to serve the community, please let them.
