The graves are in good condition, as it’s all in the undergrowth. Really enjoyable video, you could take many hours walking through this cemetery. Very interesting.

a peaceful and almost magical place . It's good to know a little of the lives of those who have died . Thank you .

I love the way they used to put their occupation, place of death, and even their home address sometimes…I liked the description “patient” too….wonder who the local stone mason was, as he obviously was kept busy with all the necessary writing! It really is a lovely little peaceful resting place…I like that someone had put bird boxes up on a couple of trees, so as well as frequently used paths, nature is being observed too. I hope the church or whoever is responsible take care of this little gem…you found a lovely place on your travels here, Thankyou for sharing with us.

What an amazing find! Even though I couldn't focus on some dates, I didn't want to stop looking. Wish the vid was longer.

I an old trick years ago. On the gravestones that are hard to read gently rub over with flour or talcum powder, and gently brush off with a soft brush and the inscriptions can be easily read. It can be washed off or the rain will wash it off and there never any damage done. Never use cement powder or any other corrosive substances as damage will be caused. Another great video. Thank's.

I'm from hull, there's quite a few cemeteries here for different parts of the city. I often go wondering round them with my sister. I just wish I was strong enough to erect the gravestones that have fallen down due to vandalism. Makes me so sad to see them like that 😔

Nice video - my great grandparents are buried here, although the stone was cleared some years ago. There is an active group of local people helpful to preserve the cemetery.

A quick Google of Richardson and sons shows they were one of the largest furniture manufacturers in the country they also had a side line as undertakers.

This is absolutely appalling to see this abandoned cemetery these people deserve a beautiful place to rest and something needs to be done to clear this place and make it easier for people to explore etc if I had loved ones there I'd sue the council for neglecting the place

I have never seen that surname in my 50 years alive. Hohenrein? Is it German or Scandinavian ? cheers

I think it's German. There was a noble Family named Hohenrain. Maybe the Name was changed a little bit through the Years.

Did you happen to say Kingston upon Hull? Being American what does this actually mean? Is Kingston a river? Or a town? Or vice-a-versa? Or maybe something entirely different?

Many centuries ago it was the 'King's town on the Hull'; the Hull being the river. Now generally referred to as Hull being somewhat easier to use than Kingston-upon-Hull.
