I remember as a kid I wasn't that fond of raw carrots so every time I got a platter of carrot sticks I kindly and gladly shared it with my dog. She had even learned to munch extremely quietly so my mom wouldn't notice and send her outside, what a legend

Also because feeding dogs directly from the table teaches them to beg for food every time you sit down to eat so it was a big no no in our household, especially since we've always had retrievers and retriever mixes, which are already programmed to be obsessed with food and can become really obnoxious if they pick up a habit like that. Thinking back, thank god we always exercised them a lot and kept them fit and lean, otherwise they'd have been rolling around the house considering how often I disobeyed that rule as a kid

I miss my American Blue Nose pitbull so much , it’s been 5 years since he passed away, and I still miss that big goofball everyday! 🐶 ❤ He really did have a hilarious sense of humour ! If he did something funny and me and my friends laughed he would just keep doing it because he thought it was funny too ! You could clearly tell how happy it made him making everyone laugh by the giant grin on his face ! He was the perfect dog for me and lived with me for 12 years before he passed away at home the minute I got home from work ! He fought hard to stay alive until that last second so we could say goodbye to each other ❤😢. Greatest Dog Ever ! 🐕 😊 his favourite human food was perogies with sour cream and … Franks Red Hot sauce! 😄 after he turned 4 / ( 21 dog years) every year on his birthday I gave him 1 Budweiser beer and a Baconator from Wendy’s ! Haha! Other than that I only fed him dog food and dog treats or the odd pc of steak I wasn’t going to finish. I miss that dog all the time! I just have to remember how extremely Lucky 🍀 I was to have him in my life for all those years 😊.

My dogs favourite food is chicken and for the years I have he mostly only ate chicken, occasionally eating mango giving by me, nothing else. Recently, we had to switch to dog food, so it was fine until I bought some other brand and shit green. Now, he is still on the same dog food but IM pretty sure he misses his carnivore diet

My dogs love green beans, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, chicken and more. If I'm making us dinner and it's dog safe, I'll separate theirs so I can avoid seasonings except parsley or cinnamon. Then, I'll make them a plate. I think their health is better than if I only fed them dry kibble and canned dog food.

Dry kibble and canned food has to meet certain nutritional standards, at least in the U.S. They get all they need from it,especially if you buy a top notch brand.

It’s really not that common, and if you want to be safe you can pasteurize the egg which will remove any salmonella if it’s there. There’s ways to do this at home or you can buy them that way a lot of pastry’s I bake call for raw eggs and some of them don’t get cooked, I’m okay eating them as is, so my dog will get the same treatment

Very rarely and if your dog is on raw meat as its diet (so that its stomach pH is species correct) their stomach acid will kill any disease causing bacteria.

Salmonella is actually part of their natural gut flaura. Cooking the egg 99/100 means discarding the shell and will throw off the calcium/phosphorus ratio. Give your dogs raw eggs with the shell. And unpasteurized eggs are actually best.

Raw EGG DOWS NOT CONTAIN SALMANELLA!!! Its the darn shell that can of fsrm fresh eggs. Which is ehy you should rince vefore cracing. And ehy all store bought eggs are washed and sanatized before veing marketed... also ehy stire eggs dont kerp as long as fresh as the protective coating naturally there is washed away.

I have a 10lb bag of chicken quarters in my fridge right now that I'm going to bake tomorrow for my 2 dogs & 4 cats. It's cheaper than buying canned food to supplement their dry food and this way I actually KNOW what's in it. I'll probably be making them some white rice to mix into it and bagging it up to freeze so it will last longer.

I feed my cats a mix of white rice, peas and carrots, and ground turkey. No extra vitamins or minerals, but I’ll definitely do that when they’re older. Very healthy and active 9 year olds.

Well, it's just that it's logical, things are safer when cooked and a lot of herbs, spices and condiments can be toxic or unhealthy for them. Their digestive system, metabolic system and immune systems aren't the same as humans'. That's basically what it comes down to.

@@FreddieHg37yes, the video ends up basically telling people "when you feed your dog ____ feed them the single ingredient without any of the ___ (additives/spices) that are sometimes packaged with that food. One of the additives mentioned is a xylitol, a sugar alcohol (non-calorie sweetener) and plenty of humans also have difficulty digesting sugar alcohols.

@@andreaknisley154 mine was such a sweet boy. He loved kids, and I used to take him with me when I walked down the street to pick up my niece from school. The kids would crowd around to pet him, and his stubby tail would be wagging like crazy. He was so patient around them, and I only stopped taking him with me when his health deteriorated. I didn't think he would do anything to them, but when an animal is sick you can never be 100% sure of how they might react. After all, we get cranky when we're not feeling well, and years of living with dogs and other pets have taught me that it's the same thing for them.

I have a papillon that loves eating tomatoes. He is such a picky eater too. I have NEVER seen a dog eat them before. 😂My chihuahua loves chicken. He will not anything but chicken so I have to boil a chicken thigh every night for him. I take the skins off before they are extremely fatty.

I remember my Great Dane had his stomach flip and he layed sitting up staring at the wall for about an hour until we noticed he didn’t come to beg at the table for dinner scraps, my mom was in tears, thankfully we got him to the vet in time to safe his life, (his sister whined a lot while he was gone.) when he got back he wouldn’t even move, he had his own mattress in the living room, eventually we started giving him white rice and cooked deer meat, after a month he has made an incredible recovery and he is doing great now! :)

My Great Dane got too big for my parents, so we had to sell her. A night guy that did guided hunts in Colorado bought her. First time out with her, his shot missed, but she came back 3 days later with most of the mule deer in her mouth....the rest was in her stomach. She was a very, very, good grrl

It's fine for them but that's not enough vitamins and nutrients for them. I'd feed them those things in moderation. Make sure the bone broth is low on sodium.

Why risk giving them salmonella??! The nutrients in eggs can’t be unlocked without cooking them, so there is virtually zero nutritional benefit from raw eggs, and it was a thing that the movie Rocky invented.

My dog's favourite food of all is anything edible. He has stolen enough chocolate and sweets to the point where it doesn't affect him anymore 💀 Seriously though he doesn't even cough or vomit.

My dog is the same way! The odd part is that he ate one snickers bar as a puppy and got sick right away. Then at Easter he ate half a chocolate rabbit (the giant sized ones) and was perfectly fine no problem. He has now resorted to eating chocolate with the wrappers on because we won't give him any chocolate because it will kill him!

I feed my 80+pound dogs our food mixed with their food and my oldest baby 15 year old putbull has lived though many chicken bones. Idk if thats the ideal diet, but she's healthy and i love her

I worked in a place before where a woman next door would bring her Labrador to work, and sometimes we’d dogsit for a while for her. She had him on a diet of only carrots for a while and he looked miserable when he’d eat them so we’d feed him proper treats.

I give my great dane almost everything. I'm a mix of black and Mexican. My mom makes tacos for my baby girl. Yes, I do my research. Also, for some dogs, you can use seasoning (depending on how big the dog is). Just no pepper or spicy spices.

Raw eggs don't contain salmonella unless you contaminate it from the outside of the shell. The inside of an egg has to be a sterile environment. That's why at least in the US, the OUTSIDE of the egg is bleached. That's also why runny yolk and sunnyside up eggs (which will have raw eggwhite over/around the yolk unless you scrape it) are safe. If you're not careful however, you do risk contamination, so it's good advice to cook eggs especially for innocent creatures.

I remember when I was really young I was making a snowman. When I put in the goofy carrot nose my dog jumped and ate the carrot. She saw the carrot as a challenge.

I make a mixture of white rice, chicken, pork, and royal canin dog food for Chihuahuas for my sweet girl. I usually add a wee bit of water to the bowl, and then I mash about 1.5-2 tablespoons of dog food in the water to make a gravy consistency. Then add about a heaping tablespoon of the rice. I heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Then remove it and add finely chopped cooked chicken and pork. Mix it well, and we have a happy girl!❤❤❤😊 That sounds like a lot. But it makes our wet dog food go further, and she looks and acts very healthy. Plus we don't actually fill up the whole bowl. The amount is equal to how much she would get if it was just straight dog food. I'm thinking about adding a little bit egg to the mix and maybe some of peanut butter as an after treat.😊

Our family Alsatian enjoyed bone broth, cooked chicken, eggs and rice. at least 3 times a week. The other 4 days he drank Tea, potatoes, beans and pork. He had what we had and loved us for it. The most loving yet fiercest guard dog in our neighbourhood by a considerable margin and the oldest. We thought he would never die, he seemed immortal RIP Rover 1969- 1985

My babies get chicken and rice or hamburger and rice with every meal . Plus eggs each week . For snacks they get carrots yams duck chicken liver. They have the best looking coats and soft as silk . The veterinarian says they're healthy and i can see they're happy. They love us unconditionally... I'm trying to give them best life possible.

As puppies we gave our dogs cold celery, carrots and apples as teething toys and treats. They LOVE them still and it’s brushes the teeth and NO dog breath!!

My dog got pancreatitis from eating something gross and dead in the woods (my mom saw him go for it but couldn't get to him in time to stop him), part of his vet prescribed treatment was eating only white rice and eggs, with some occasional plain chicken (all cooked of course). As you can imagine, he frickin loved it.

I used to feed my wolf all of those. Maybe not so much peanut butter. We didn’t but it very often. I got panicky when I didn’t see carrots, broccoli, or pinto beans! Those were staples. The carrots are a great snack. You can wash them cut them up and keep in the fridge for treats. I like juicing veggies, so she always had whatever I cut before it went in the juicer. Oh and oats! She got oatmeal fairly often.
