greetings from Cheb, Czech republic. The city, where this airplane was built in second world war. :-) And actually, this plane had four engines, just pairs connected to one propeller. And those flaps - in the beginning, this plane was built as dive bomber, bigger Stuka.

One literally penetrated Warspite. Like, it went right through and detonated in the water underneath her. It did a lot of damage but ultimately she would survive the war, albeit without the use of her aft-most main turret.

Day 19: Hey Phly! You should do a public lobby with Phriends and Phans where each team has one VTOL plane, and the rest of the planes are reserve tier I planes. The objective would be to land the VTOL plane in a cap zone (you would use a tank map with a plane spawn-point), and successfully run down the tickets of the other team. Each team's tier 1 planes need to protect the VTOL at any cost. There should probably be a 30 second delay phor the VTOLs to take off because SPEED, but, do what ya want. Hope it’s PHUN!

I LOVE the He112... lots of ammo, and tanks on that BR just can't bounce it. Pretty much the only time a 20mm is useful. It's a shame the 37mm and 75mm don't perform as well.

epic fact: the He-177 was originally designed to be a large schnellbomber, but the German high command insisted that it be a dive bomber. as a result, it was redesigned multiple times and, subsequently, virtually every single avionics system, including the airframe, airfoil structure, and especially the engines, had serious problems. in the field brand new bombers would frequently return with burning engines, and the only thing that kept it from having a high combat loss rate was its ability to reach speeds of up to 565 kph.
