Human influences causing sea lions to take over a Ventura County beach

Күн бұрынExperts say sea lions have historically been a part of Silver Strand Beach but in recent years, many more have made their way over, a migration that’s mostly caused by human influences and climate change.
"This is their place,” said one Silver Strand Resident. “I feel honored that they've chosen to be here."

Great segment. The sea lions are so cute!!! And my aunt was one of the ones interviewed. She talks about them all the time and I hear them “barking” in the background when I’m on the phone with her. Adorable.

They’ve been out there since way back. In the 70’s I went on a date with a picnic dinner and watched the sea lions. It’s another piece of Ventura’s charm
