I still think it would’ve been sick to see Komamura included in the Gerard fight. Just imagine Dangai Joe facing off against a giant Gerard.

Don’t think he’d have the speed or firepower to put down Yhwach despite the intrinsic tankiness, but I could see him baiting out a considerable amount of Yhwach’s techniques and spiritual pressure for Kisuke and Mayuri to analyze and capitalize on.

Komamura seems to have gotten monkey paw'd I wonder if the limitation for the transformation instead of a time limit was that he could only use it to defeat one person for revenge and by defeating Bambietta because he was too good hearted and couldn't leave the other shinigami to die he gave up his one chance at revenge against yhwach. Komamura instead of truly giving into the curse and giving up everything for revenge saved his comrades. Komamura didn't have it in himself to truly sacrifice everything to get revenge at the end of the day. Komamura seemed to be willing to sacrifice anything that had to do with him, but not willing to sacrifice others tied to his strong sense of loyalty and duty. Speculation of course, but I think it makes sense.

A very satisfying way for it to end would be: Ywach brings out ryujjin jakka to piss of Sajin. It turns into a smack down where Sajin is getting his butt kicked. Sajin goes mad and research department notices. Kisuke or Mayuri says something sad foreshadowing Sajin’s death, then they make a cool line about making the best of his sacrifice or “taking advantage of this opportunity” The ultimate achievement of Sajin’s battle would be (with the help of research department) Ywach loses his hold of Ryujjin Jakka, which implodes and deals a big hit to Ywach. In the end, despite being immortal, Sajin’s body is reduced to dust as well in the flames of the explosion. Elsewhere, his heart bursts into flames in front of the elder dog, and a statement is made about how his fury and thirst for vengeance has led to his end, but has left a light for the future of their clan as well.

If this would have happened I think it would have been really poetic if Yhwach used Yamamoto's Bankai against Komamura, just because he's not losing to his target but instead to the man he was fighting for.

I wish we had more background on komomras clan and their involvement with the gotei from the past.

I honestly think that him failing to even see Ywhach was perfect. Komamura was a man who condemned Tosen for being consumed by hate, but when the person closest to him was killed, he was consumed the same way Tosen was. He beats the sternritter who beat him, but his hatred can't push him any farther than that, and he turns into an animal, never even meeting the object of his hatred, the one he sacrificed everything to kill. Komamura sacrifices everything he is in a desperate attempt to get revenge, but in the end, it does nothing but destroy him. That's something that's consistently shown when characters in Bleach try to get revenge and get consumed by their hate. Gin lands 1 hit on Aizen, which only serves to strengthen him, and then dies, while watching Rangiku, the one he wanted to get revenge for so she wouldn't have to cry again, crying as he died. His hatred consumed him, and in the end he didn't accomplish anything other than warping himself. Tosen was consumed by a hatred for the whole world, and was never able to meet the man who killed his friend after he gained the power to oppose him. Tosen's closest friends in the Gotei beat him, and then the man he chose to work under in a desperate attempt to destroy the world that excused the murder of his friend kills him. Nobody in Bleach ever gets through their revenge plot, and only Gin is even able to wound the one he was aiming for.

Yhwach even without his plot hacks could defeat sajin but imagine sajin vs gerard god that would be amazing

Another option for this 'what if' would be to include a "test" for Uryu; where once Ywach has embarrassed Sajin, he just tells Uryu to "clean up". It would give Uryu a little more to do in the arc & could end in pretty much the same way; Uryu could manage to blast Sajin off the side & then the humanification technique runs out before he can get back, maybe Iba can pick him up again.

Komamura is such a well-written and cool character. His human transformation in the final arc is easily top 10-15 moments for me in the whole series. I feel like Kubo intentionally wanted us to be even more heartbroken by the fact that he doesn't even get past his Sternritter matchup before his transformation runs out of time. Kinda sinks the knife in that much more.

That was a very nice "What if?". I could really picture the scene and how Yhwach and Komamura would act. Still, I think that Komamura doing relevant damage to Yhwach would be to good to be true. However, I believe that a fight like this one could be a better end for his character. The idea of him having a conversation with Uryu is very interesting and I would love to see that. The man that sacrificed his heart out of loyalty and the man that supposedly betrayed his closest friends to work with Yhwach. A conversation like this would be an awesome character moment for Komamura.

In my mind any scenario with Komamura making it to Ywach's throne room would end in him getting taken down by Uruyu. Ywach would probably be like a mere subordinate cannot hope to challenge me or something . Then Uruyu would actually get a chance to show of his new strength and would leave Komamaru alive as a form of mercy. With Komamaru realising that he never had a shot at revenge. It would also make more sense for Uruyu to spare Komamaru than Ywach.

I wished that the caveat of Sajin's immortality was that any part of him that regenerates is replaced with the beast form. I think kubo excels at depicting body horror and it would reinforce the theme of Sajin being consumed by his need for revenge.

I'd say something darker would happen, Yhawh would notice his immortality and loyalty to Yama, so he'd use Yama's Bankai to turn him to ashes

I could see after Kom. Defeats Bambietta he feels his power leaving him and he uses all of his strength to throw his Giant Bankai sword at the Castle only to have it fade as it’s about to hit and he reverts into his wolf form. Maybe too much like the Barragan scene.

Honestly, the anime should totally do the first scenario. That would be perfect with him being kicked off by Yhwach.

This was a very strange power up, not only Komamura was stronger and immortal, he was also incorporeal, with no drawbacks such as having to tank 3 hits like Barro. I could see Kubo using it as an excuse for komamura being able to defeat Barro, but unless he planned to switch main antagonist with Hashwald, Yhwach would stall him out and win. Also, I don’t think Uryu ever met Komamura.

Honestly I feel like if anyone that wasn't a war potential got too close to the palace would probably be taken out by Jugram or the elite guard.

Yhwach was the most overpowered villain ever, so it wouldn't even be a fight.

Bambietta was the leader of the femritters. It was said in CFYOW that Meninas possesses strength more powerful than Zaraki Kenpachi. So yes if Komamura can defeat Bambi, he is strong enough to fight base Yhwach since Yhwach was one of the rivals for Kenpachi envisioned by Unohana.

Another cool idea would be for him to face Yhwach only for the ability to end there as he attempts a final attack. Yhwach stops seeing just a wounded dog left in his wake and chooses to ignore this bout of revenge for the rest of the story. Then later with Komamura still in the throne room, we get a scene between him and Uryu about loyalty and him falling unconscious. The quincy takes the dog's words to heart and that would be the reasoning that has him turn against Yhwach later.

I wish Kormamura fought the Miracle, now that would of been cool to see two colossal Giants fight each other. I think if Kormamura used his bankai to throw himself then deactivated his bankai just to re activate it and crash down into the battle right after Kenpachi arm burst and taken out of the fight. The two Giants fight for a bit with Kormamura seemingly winning until time runs out and he turns into the dog. Then the battle continues as how it did source material

"Like Tosen before you I shall open your eyes Uryuu Ishida!" just a line of dialogue that went through my head imagining Komamura yelling at uryuu next to yhwach after defeating a handful of souldat, which would actually provide a great opportunity to kinda pull us deeper into the uryuu is a traitor plot and demonstrating the antithesis in defense of yhwach

Its kinda stupid to think that he was so close but ran out of time when he decided to go home and change clothes essentially before going after ywach. Had he decided to just rush the king he may have had a few minutes more to at least try. Kinda adds to the idea that he didnt know he had abtime limit.

That move me of my throne bit reminds me of Yusuke vs Raizen. When Yusuke shoot his spirit gun at Raizen he is unhRmed and Yusuke claims victory but Raizen knocks him out and says you listen but you do not hear boy. You moved the throne not me. A tedious technicality to be sure but we demins ate men of our word and you'll have your reward just yet.

I wonder if the reason the humanification technique faded as soon as it did is because Komamura and his bankai took too much damage from Bambietta. He might be immortal but he isn't invulnerable in that state, so it could be the case that there's a limit to his immortality. It doesn't really make sense to me otherwise how this technique completely nullifies all damage

If not then wouldn't it be cool to see Komamura fighting as an animal like amaterasu in the Okami games. His bankai would take on the form of a fox as well which would be sick as heck

My thoughts on it would be, even if he didn't know about the humanification, he can see all possible futures. Including him coming to the eventual realisation of his true power. He could just observe a fight that took place between the two of them in a future possibility. Then pick apart at what his powers are from there. As for the powers themselves, he has utter control over the possibilities that can happen right? So he can just erase all the futures where Komamura has time left in his power up. Leaving only the futures where his powers run out right there and then in front of him. Leaving him a dog. I respect this video my man I'm not trying to pick it apart. It's just my head cannon of Yhwach can only lose to Ichibe at the best of his performance, Yamamoto or Ichigo. His future erasing powers are just far too op xD hahahahaha 👌👌

I’ve always felt that Komamura’s humanification was wasted on a single fight against Bambietta. While it is satisfying to see him get his revenge for his bankai being stolen, a better display of his newly acquired strength would have been him fighting against multiple Sternitters at once.
