In the Africa diaspora, the warfare is plaguing Ethiopia’s northern territory, Tigray.
A week ago, Marc Lamont Hill interviewed diplomacy and public policy expert Yuri Tadesse. Tadesse defended Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed’s response to the crisis and blamed forces from Tigray for committing more atrocities during the war.
Meaza Gidey Gebremedhin, an international relations specialist and human rights advocate for the nonpartisan organization, Omna Tigray, joins Hill to provide insight into the other side of the widespread unrest in Tigray.

Meaze is not human rights advocate; she is a TPLF representative. TPLF has never wanted to co-exist. They have ruled with an iron fist for the last 27 years controlling every breath Ethiopians took from every ethnicity, including Tigray people who are not their political supporters. This is a prime example of why the west still has control over the entire African continent,instead of us uniting and putting our tribal differences aside and build togethet at the same time respecting eachother's cultures, you are all essentially the same people and you have more in common than not. Redrafting of constitution if desired and the way forward as for Ethiopian politics needs to be done through Inclusive national dialogue including TPLF and all political parties, armed forces...Moreover;World-class politicians like Jawar.M and others should be exonarated and take part in these dialogues..

Stop leaving in alternative reality...They are approaching Bahir Dar, Gondar and marching towards Addis Ababa... Whether you like it or not , they have a "big say" in Ethiopian politics..There is no federal gov without federal regions represented in it.... Also if tigrayans in Tigray regional state of ethiopia prefer and believe they are better represented by TPLF,what's wrong with you? TPLF was part of EPRDF whom most of its members are now in power like PM.Abiy, MFAspokesman.Dina Mufti, etc.. As Ethiopian, I believe solving by arms will only increase death-toll,worsen economy,bring new IDPs,etc.. For that reason, PM.Abiy must Immediately end siege by restoring basic necessitates [banking,electricity, Telecom,..] And commence Inclusive National Dialogue Now 📌I assume The PM thinks that drones will solve all this crisis.

If she is advocating human rights she has to denounce the atrocities of tplf in Amara in Afar region. Lie after lie after lie, Just last week the TPLF terrorist group has killed 250 civilians in Afar region out of which 105 are children. same wise in Amhara region they displaced half a million people who are now facing food shortages. They have also committed horrendous inhumane crimes in a place called mikadra where 850+ got murdered by their soldiers And for the question you asked @4:41, The origin story for the conflict isn't about the election or any other case rather the TPLF terrorist group attacked the national defense force and looted heavy weapons such as long distance missiles which they fired to neighboring country Eritrea and they have also strike several other places within Ethiopia and killed many people and destroyed 2 airports with the rocket they acquired. If this is not terrorism I don't know what you call it. And a little of advise for the host instead of just echoing what your guest is saying, as a journalist do a proper research.

Dr. Marc Lamont Hill. I'm your staunch supporter even in CNN days. I often cite your points when I have a discussion, b/n friends. You are one of a few people who give me hope about the future of black intellectuals. I commend you tried to stay neutral but I wish you had another person who can represent 100 million Ethiopians who oppose the claim made by the guest lady you had on your show. She's spreading falsehood about the main cause of the conflict which is TPLF terrorists attacking and looting the most valuable Ethiopian military base and acquired Ethiopias 80% of weapons.

The lesson for Africans: When you face genocide, do not count on the African Union, the UN or any Western country to save you. Tigray is today's Rwanda. Whatever its crime, had it not been for TDF, Tigray would have been history by now.
