thisisexile66 I feel you on that. I missed the interesting build ups and breakdowns and nonstop unique riffage. This new album/ep is doing a lot of same-same things over and over again like blast beats and quarter note down beat chugs. I also miss the cool synth and orchestral stuff they did on the self titled. Made them sound huge. Now they just whammy pedal stuff with some guitar screeches as ambience with mediocre riffs. Might get hate for saying this but fuck it.

I miss their bouncy groovy riffage and big dark ambient atmosphere from their self titled. Even detestor had moments of “dat riff”. These songs sound super same-same and dare I say “generic” deathcore-y. Don’t get me wrong this shit slaps but man do I enjoy their groovier stuff.
