That is the sound of over 4 billion people (Children, babies, teens, adults, everyone you can think of, possibly even yourself.) screaming for their lives as every single individual being on planet earth is dissolved into a primordial sludge and being added to a collective being. All controlled by a mental unstable 14 year old all because his dad wanted to see his wife again. Shinji, in this universe, is now the most influential human being in the world. Think about that for a minute. Let that sink in. Someone who is just beginning to experience sexual feelings has had more influence on the world than you will ever have. This child literally caused the near downfall of humanity.
